Peloton Instructors Running the 2024 NYC Marathon: How to Follow Their Progress
The 53rd running of the TCS New York City Marathon is set for Sunday, November 3, 2024. With over 165,000 entries, this year’s race will be one of the largest in history. Among the participants are several Peloton instructors, bringing extra excitement for the Peloton community. Here’s everything you need to know about their participation and how to track their journey on race day.
Peloton Instructors and Their Bib Numbers
Seven Peloton instructors will be taking on the marathon this year, each with a unique bib number that you can use to track their progress via the TCS New York Marathon app:
- Kirsten Ferguson – Bib #52926
- Jeffrey McEachern – Bib #31180
- Logan Aldridge – Bib #19263
- Erik Jager – Bib #27273
- Mariana Fernandez – Bib #11401
- Rad Lopez – Bib #20565
- Alex Karwoski – Bib #2064
To follow their progress on race day, download the TCS New York Marathon app from your app store and enter their bib numbers.
The Marathon Start and Waves
The New York City Marathon is organized into five waves of starts (excluding the pro and adaptive divisions). Runners are assigned to waves based on their bib numbers, with lower numbers starting earlier. For example, Alex Karwoski (#2064) will begin in one of the earlier waves, while Kirsten Ferguson (#52926) will start later.
Each wave is divided into corrals, which are organized by color. Pink corrals begin on the lower level of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, while orange and blue corrals start on the upper level. Each color is further divided into six lettered sections for better organization.
The Course: Through the Five Boroughs
The NYC Marathon is a 26.2-mile course that winds through all five boroughs of New York City: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Manhattan. It begins on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and offers participants a scenic and challenging route through the diverse neighborhoods of New York City.
