Peloton Hosts Virtual Event Celebrating Latin + Hispanic Heritage Month

Peloton is continuing the celebration of Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting a virtual event on October 12, from 10:00 to 10:30 ET. The event features a conversation between Instructors Camila Ramón and Hannah Corbin, as they come together to honor and explore the rich heritage of the Latinx and Hispanic community.

The Latinx + Hispanic Heritage Month virtual event will be hosted by Camila Ramón and Hannah Corbin

Power in Unity

The event aims to bring together the Latinx and Hispanic community to celebrate their diverse experiences, as well as their shared culture. The collective power of this community is truly remarkable, and Peloton recognizes the importance of acknowledging and celebrating the unique heritage that makes it so vibrant.

National Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15. Originally established as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 by President Lyndon Johnson, it was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to become a 30-day period of observation. The day of September 15 is significant because it marks the anniversary of independence for several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The law that officially established National Hispanic Heritage Month was enacted on August 17, 1988.

Month-long Celebration

In addition to the virtual event, Peloton has been celebrating Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month all month long with new classes that are dedicated to honoring and exploring Latin and Hispanic culture. Each week, the platform has been releasing new classes, including yoga, strength, stretching, and running, featuring a variety of Instructors who share their unique perspectives and experiences and celebrate the music of the Latin and Hispanic communities.

Join the Celebration

Registration for the Peloton virtual event celebrating Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month is open to all, and virtual attendees are invited to submit questions to the panelists. Though the event may be virtual, the impact is real, as Peloton recognizes and embraces the richness and diversity of the Latinx and Hispanic experience.
