Peloton has officially launched the Peloton Cross Training Series, a comprehensive refresh of its hardware portfolio. This is the first time Peloton has redesigned all of its connected fitness devices at once, resulting in a five-product lineup engineered for versatility, functionality, and integration across multiple training modalities.

Inside the Peloton Cross Training Series Hardware Refresh

The Peloton Cross Training Series adds five new devices to their hardware lineup: the Cross Training Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, and Row+. Each machine has been redesigned with the goal of supporting both cardio and strength training, as well as floor-based classes such as yoga and pilates.

This hardware generation is structured around versatility. Members can now move more efficiently between modalities without switching equipment, allowing for a more integrated at-home fitness routine.

Core Features of the Cross Training Series

Several new features are standard across all devices in the Peloton Cross Training Series:

  • Swivel Screen: A 360-degree rotating display allows users to move seamlessly from on-equipment cardio to off-equipment training.

  • Upgraded Audio: Improved speakers provide clearer sound and stronger bass response.

  • Connectivity Improvements: Faster processors, updated WiFi, and enhanced Bluetooth connections reduce latency and improve pairing with accessories.

These baseline features establish a more consistent and reliable training experience across every model.

Comfort and Ergonomic Enhancements

Peloton has also made incremental adjustments to improve comfort and accessibility:

  • Redesigned Saddles: The Bike and Bike+ now feature updated, more cushioned seats.

  • Peloton Comfort Saddle: A wider, optional accessory designed to provide additional padding, compatible with both new and older Peloton bikes.

These refinements are aimed at reducing barriers for new members while improving long-term usability for experienced riders.

Exclusive Features of the new “Plus” Models

The Bike+, Tread+, and Row+ include additional hardware and software integrations not available on the base models. These are positioned as premium devices within the Peloton Cross Training Series.

  • Movement Tracking Camera: Enables Peloton IQ features, including real-time form feedback, rep counting, and suggested weight recommendations.

  • Sonos-Tuned Speakers: Developed in collaboration with Sonos for optimized clarity and low-frequency response.

  • Hands-Free Control: Voice commands can be used to pause classes, skip movements, or adjust weights and resistance.

  • Integrated Fan: A three-speed fan built into the tablet housing provides cooling during workouts.

These additions highlight Peloton’s attempt to create a higher tier of connected equipment with more personalized feedback and interaction.

Retail and Availability

The Peloton Cross Training Series is available for purchase through several retail channels:

  • Peloton.com – Complete lineup available directly.

  • Amazon and Dick’s Sporting Goods – Select models offered.

  • Johnson Fitness & Wellness – Starting October 2, select locations will carry Peloton equipment, marking the first time Peloton has partnered with an independent fitness retailer with physical showrooms.

This distribution strategy expands access and gives potential customers the ability to test equipment before purchase.

The Peloton Cross Training Series represents more than an incremental hardware upgrade. By redesigning all five major devices, Peloton is signaling a shift toward integrated fitness solutions that combine cardio, strength, and recovery within a single ecosystem.

The addition of the Swivel Screen, more robust connectivity, and premium features like the Movement Tracking Camera move Peloton closer to bridging the gap between in-person training and the at-home environment.
