Peloton Celebrates World Mental Health Day
Peloton Celebrates World Mental Health Day with 2 Special Classes
Peloton announced plans for three special classes to celebrate World Mental Health Day on October 10th. Community engagement, fostering conversations and personal wellbeing pursuits are suggested activities to mark the occasion and Peloton will deliver opportunities by offering up a little something for everyone, including a Yoga + Pilates with Anna Greenberg and two Walk + Runs, one with Jeffrey McEachern and the other a “Two for One” with Ben Alldis and Jon Hosking.
What is World Mental Health Day?
World Mental Health Day was first observed on October 10, 1992, organized by the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) to foster awareness and reduce stigma. The World Health Organization (WHO) quickly joined in and helped expand the reach, providing research, campaigns, and global participation.
Over the years, the day became a worldwide movement, with governments, organizations, schools, communities and health and wellness companies like Peloton holding events to address stigma, advocate for better policies, and share resources. Today it’s recognized in over 150 countries, and each year has a different theme.
The theme for World Mental Health Day 2025 is “Mental health in humanitarian emergencies – Access to services”, emphasizing the urgent need to ensure mental health and psychosocial support is available and accessible for people affected by crises, such as conflicts, natural disasters, or displacements.
World Mental Health Day Classes
Yoga + Pilates with Anna
Take a few minutes to care for your own mental health on October 10 by taking one of these classes. Anna’s encore 30 minutes Yoga + Pilates promises to engage your core and challenge your balance, while also providing relaxing stretches and breathwork. She is well loved for her meditations where she encourages us to feel supported and find space and safety in our own containers. This class will likely deliver both effort and ease, and provide some calm during the wobbles of life. Want to know why it is also a great workout? Check out our review article here.
Walk + Run 2-for-1 with Ben and Jon
Ben and Jon will offer a live 30 minute Walk + Run. Their coaching tends to be uplifting, positive and encouraging. Both have openly discussed their own emotional struggles at times and how fitness has remained a beacon for them in supporting their mental health. This class for all levels promises to inspire and provide ample opportunities to look inward.
Walk (DE) with Jeffrey
Finally, Jeffrey McEachern will deliver a live German 30 minute Walk + Run. He has talked about how running transformed his mental health, helped him quit smoking and allowed him to find purpose. He works to raise awareness for marginalized groups and encourages people to be their authentic self. This class promises coaching on believing in yourself and teaching us how capable of change and growth we all are.
If you miss the live classes, catch them all on demand, including many other types of classes from years past taught by instructors like Katie Wang, Bradley Rose, Adrienne Williams and more.
