Kristin McGee Departing Peloton Platform After Six Years
After six years with the platform, Kristin McGee has announced that she will be departing Peloton. In a statement accompanying a Reel posted to her Instagram, she says, “Hello Fam! I have some news I wanted to share with you all. I have made the decision to spend time to focus on my family and move on from Peloton. I am beyond grateful for the past 6 years and everything about this community. I’ll miss you all SO much. Please keep in touch here and here’s to the next chapter 🫶🏼”
A Look Back
An already established NYC Pilates and Yoga instructor, Kristin, along with Anna Greenberg and Aditi Shah, helped bring the current iteration of Yoga classes to the Peloton platform. Over the years, Kristin built a loyal following of fans who not only embraced her on the mat, but also embraced her relatability as a mom.
Prior to joining Peloton, Kristin had a thriving career as an in-demand Pilates and Yoga instructor, counting Tina Fey, Steve Martin, and Savannah Guthrie as regular students. Fun fact: she was also one of Mariana Fernandez’s first Yoga teachers. Kristin also had a recurring role on 30 Rock, and had starred in multiple yoga DVDs produced by MTV in the early 2000s.
A Look Forward
In a statement earlier today, Peloton left the door open for Kristin (and Ross and Kendall) to return to the fold when, and if, she chooses. Kristin made it a point to mention that all of her content will remain in the On Demand library* and encouraged her followers and fans to continue connecting with her via social media. *Note: as with all other classes, Kristin’s, Ross’s, and Kendall’s classes will be subject to Peloton’s weekly library edits.
