Jess Sims Surgery and Recovery Update
Jess Sims Surgery Journey
The Jess Sims Surgery Journey has been a calm one! This week, Jess Sims took to her social media to share an important life update with her followers. Starting with her usual warm greeting, “What’s up beautiful people,” Jess revealed that she had undergone surgery to repair her medial meniscus on her right knee. It’s the same knee she previously injured in college back in 2009 when she tore her ACL during a basketball game. She made sure to express gratitude to her skilled surgeon and dedicated rehab team, stating that they made the process as smooth as possible.

Stepping Back to Heal
Jess emphasized the importance of being transparent with her community about her recovery timeline. While she will be taking some time off from teaching Peloton classes after her surgery, she shared that she’s committed to keeping her daily badge streak alive through meditation classes, proving there’s always something you can do—even during recovery. Jess also highlighted the value of listening to her body and allowing it to heal properly, a lesson many athletes can relate to when facing an injury or setback.

Support from the Peloton Community
Despite her temporary absence from teaching, Jess has already felt the overwhelming support and love from her Peloton family. Comments from colleagues such as Kirsten Ferguson, who affectionately said, “I love you my sister! HEALING ERA looks good on you,” highlight the tight-knit community that surrounds Jess. Fellow Peloton trainer Joslyn Thompson Rule also sent wishes for a speedy recovery, showing just how much Jess is cherished on and off the platform.

Taking It Day by Day
While resting at home, Jess joked about her “nurses” being none other than her beloved dogs as she soaks in her downtime after the surgery. She also promised to stay active on her socials, keeping her fans updated on her recovery progress. Jess teased an upcoming Q&A session where she’ll answer questions from her followers about her experience and recovery process, inviting curiosity and engagement with her story.

A Lesson in Rest and Resilience
Jess reminds us all of a valuable takeaway: recovery is an essential part of training and injury. For athletes, pushing limits often comes with risks, but it’s just as important to surrender to rest and healing when the body demands it. Her willingness to share her ongoing recovery openly not only keeps her community informed but also inspires others facing similar challenges.
We wish Jess a smooth and restful recovery, and we can’t wait to see her back, stronger and ready, when the time is right! Keep an eye on her updates as she navigates this “healing era” with the same determination she brings to all she does.
