GirlTrek Celebrates Joyful Movement with Chelsea Jackson Roberts In Studio

Members of GirlTrek, a national wellness movement focused on Black women’s health and community, attended a special yoga class with Peloton instructor Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts on March 22. The session highlights the ongoing partnership between Peloton and GirlTrek, two organizations aligned around inclusive wellness and cultural empowerment.

A Long-Standing Partnership with GirlTrek

Chelsea Jackson Roberts and GirlTrek have collaborated for some time, working together to promote wellness within the Black community. Members’ attendance at Chelsea’s yoga class reinforces the importance of representation and accessible wellness spaces for women of color. Chelsea’s yoga and meditation instruction on Peloton has consistently emphasized themes of self-care, cultural reclamation, and inner strength, making her a natural ally for this organization’s mission.

Community-Focused Wellness

GirlTrek describes itself as a national walking and wellness movement, combining fitness with advocacy and community building. By participating in Chelsea’s class, members experience the kind of intentional, culturally aware instruction that aligns with both organizations’ values. These kinds of partnership activities deepen the connection between Peloton’s platform and underrepresented communities, reinforcing Peloton’s commitment to inclusive fitness spaces.

About the Author: Liz Nikol (#JustAskForHelp)

My daily therapy is provided by Peloton and I truly believe that movement is medicine. I don't discriminate - bike, tread, yoga, strength, pilates and a ton of meditation. By day, I am a psychotherapist and director of a large counseling center in NJ. I am particularly passionate about women's mental health, especially in midlife. By night, I am a mom to 2 dachshunds and a scruffy mutt and wife to a chiropractor that keeps us all moving (yes, that includes the dogs!). Besides Peloton, I am obsessed with hard rock (think Octane on Sirius), Law and Order everything and a good thriller. Find me on the Peloton leaderboard at #JustAskForHelp.
