Coming Soon: Weekly Mariana Tread Classes!

From Yoga Mats to Tread Tracks

Mariana brought us yoga en español in 2021, took her skills to the Tread in 2023, gave us BFF realness again and again, and yesterday, she dropped some amazing news- Mariana’s now part of the regular running team. She’s calling it the Lost Toys Run Club, and starting this fall, you can catch her every Thursday night.

Welcome to the Lost Toys Run Club

During a recent live Peloton Tread class—a 60-minute walk-run on August 17, to be exact—Mariana broke the news about her permanent schedule. And she did it with her signature charm and humor, introducing us to the “Lost Toys Run Club.” What’s this club about? It’s for all of us who feel like those quirky, forgotten toys, just trying to find our stride. No perfection required, just a little bit of jankiness. (Also, no Tread required- just pop in some earbuds and approximate the instructor’s verbal cues to effort when running outdoors.) We’re all in, Mariana!

Even the Instructors Branch Out at Peloton

Most of the Peloton community has engaged in more than one modality- and the instructors are no exception. If you’re looking for others who, like Mariana, are always stretching to learn more, we have a wealth of favorite teachers who are not just cross-training, but cross-teaching!

P.S. I’m going to miss someone here, I know I am. I promise I tried. Just let me know in the comments who it was and I will humbly apologize and take one of whatever kind of classes that I forgot they taught from them immediately.

There are a few combinations we see frequently:

  • yoga and meditation
  • yoga and pilates
  • tread and outdoor
  • anything and stretching
  • anything and dance cardio, if the instructor has a little bit of dance background (and there are more than a few out there who do!)
  • Any sort of bootcamp! (Not even counting bootcamps among the following lists, though, with one exception. It makes the analysis so much more complicated.)

Some of  our favorite dual-modality instructors beyond just those patterns?

  • Selena Samuela: tread and cardio shadowboxing
  • Denis Morton: bike and yoga
  • Mariana Fernandez: tread and yoga
  • Matty Maggiacomo and Andy Speer: tread and strength (and Matty tucking us in at night during a stretch)
  • Jess King and Camila Ramon: bike and tread
  • Cody Rigsby: bike and meditation
  • Ally Love, Hannah Corbin, Sam Yo, and Mila Lazar: bike and pilates
  • Rad Lopez and Callie Gullickson: cardio and strength
  • Becs Gentry: tread and row (and for those who have forgotten, she also had a moment in shadowboxing!)
  • Tunde Oyeneyin: bike and strength

And some triple threats!

  • Rebecca Kennedy and Logan Aldridge: strength, cardio, and tread
  • Matt Wilpers: bike, tread, and row
  • Olivia Amato and Robin Arzon: bike, tread, and strength
  • Ben Alldis: cardio, bike, and strength
  • Jermaine Johnson: tread, strength, and cardio shadowboxing

I’ve got one quadruple:

  • Adrian Williams: tread, cardio, strength and row. Someone put that man on a bike… or a yoga mat, maybe?

And one special, I-don’t-even-know-what-to-do-with-her award:

  • Jess Sims: tread, strength, cardio, bike (within bootcamp world), hosting College Game Day, and teaching your kindergartners to take a Fit Family Brain Break (I bet she could also teach them to tie their shoes.)

These instructors, like Mariana, bring a wealth of experience, energy, and diversity to the table, making Peloton the dynamic fitness platform we adore.

We’d love to see more instructors branch out… we’re all waiting for some Ash Pryor strength and Sam Yo meditations, Peloton. Make it happen!
