Ash Pryor’s Recovery and Return to Peloton Live Classes On the Schedule for May

Ash Pryor’s recovery and return to the Peloton live teaching schedule has her on the calendar for May 24, 2026. Her first class back is a 30-minute Row running from 2:30 to 3:00 PM ET at Peloton Studios New York. For a community that has been following her progress in real time, the date on the calendar is welcome news.

Ash Pryor’s Recovery: Crutches, Legos, and Good Humor

If you follow Ash on Instagram, you already know she has not spent her time off quietly. Since stepping away from the live teaching schedule on March 23, she has been taking followers directly along for the ride, sharing the highs and lows of post-surgical recovery with the kind of candid, self-aware humor that makes her such a compelling instructor.

Ash Pryor's recovery and return: real talk

In one typical post, she walked through a lobby on crutches, tote bags hanging from both arms. The caption read: “This is what we mean by training for life. Farmer’s Carry are looking a little different these days.” In a caption, she wrote that she had “traded in my kettlebells for Lego carry,” adding a thoughtful question for followers about how they handle disappointment and shifting plans. She noted she had been focused on nutrition, hydration, and vitamins to support recovery alongside physical therapy and rest. The transparency is characteristic, and the community has responded in kind.

May 24 Return Date on the Peloton Studio Schedule

The Peloton studio calendar for May 2026 shows Ash’s name on Sunday, May 24, for a 30-minute Row. That single listing carries real weight. It signals that her recovery and physical therapy have expected to progress on a timeline that clears her to return to live instruction roughly eight weeks after her procedure. We first covered her stepping away here: Ash Pryor’s Knee Surgery Sidelines Her From Schedule After March 22

A Full-Body Athlete Coming Back Stronger

Ash Pryor’s recovery and return story is really the story of a well-rounded athlete with a training base built for resilience. Her work goes well beyond the erg. Earlier this year she competed at HYROX Las Vegas in the Doubles category, tackling a demanding hybrid race that required running fitness, functional strength, and rowing endurance combined. She was also part of the instructor team behind the Peloton HYROX Program that launched in February 2026.

That kind of full-body training foundation is generally considered an asset in orthopedic recovery. A stronger supporting musculature around the knee, developed through varied movement patterns, tends to aid rehabilitation. Whether that holds true in Ash’s specific case is something only her care team can speak to, but the breadth of her training background gives reason for optimism.

We wonder, too, will Ash be teaming up with HSS as Jess Sims and Adrian Williams did in their recoveries?

She also completed her Pilates certification, which TCO covered in episode 422 of The Clip Out podcast. Pilates emphasizes joint stability, core engagement, and controlled movement, qualities that map directly to the kind of rehab work involved in recovering from a knee injury. It is not a stretch to think that foundation has served her well during this stretch.

What Comes Next for Ash on Peloton

We have been vocal about this before, and the 2025 Peloton Instructor Superlatives piece said it plainly: Ash Pryor’s skill set has outgrown a single modality. She runs, she lifts, she competes in hybrid events, and she now holds a Pilates certification. Peloton has not announced any changes to her instructing role, so she returns to the Row for now.

With Ash Pryor’s recovery and return now dated, here is hoping that Peloton eventually gives her more room to show what she can do. The Row community will be glad to have her back. And those of us watching from the other side of that argument will be watching the schedule closely.
