Cody Rigsby Claps Back at Netflix
Welcome to The Clip Out episode 408.
I’m crabby.
We’ll save it for the bonus. What are you crabby about?
My phone. The battery on my phone is getting bad. I took my phone in to get the battery replaced, and then they were like, “Come back in two hours.” I come home, and then we get a call an hour later. I was like, “It must be ready.” “We broke your screen.” Thanks a lot, Batteries Plus
They said they’d fix your batteries. They didn’t say anything about the rest of your phone.
I don’t have my phone until tomorrow, assuming they don’t break the screen again.
That’s super stressful. We use our phones a lot. Most people do. I’m not saying we are alone in that, but that is very stressful not to have your phone.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Peloton has made some tweaks to their user interface but then tweaked it right back!
Anyway, what pray tell do you have in store for people?
We are going to talk about some updates that Peloton made to the app and then change back. I’m not sure what that’s about. We’re going to talk about the cool Me, Myself & I Festival that occurred in Puerto Rico. We are going to talk about GQ spotlighting Peloton’s Liverpool FC partnership. We are also going to talk about the London Marathon and all of the Peloton events coming up for that. Not to mention the brand new Accor Hotels that got added to Australia, and what they’ve changed within that partnership. We have a bunch of Instructors in the News. We’re going to talk about Cody’s epic clap back to Netflix. It wasn’t on Netflix, but against a specific show on Netflix.
He is not happy.
We’re going to talk about the latest instructor to be featured in US Weekly, not to mention which instructor has their book up for Sports Book of the Year. We’re going to talk about artist series and celebs.
Before we get to all that, shameless plugs. Don’t forget, we’re available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart, and TuneIn. Wherever you find a podcast, you can find us. While you’re there, be sure and follow us so you never miss an episode. Maybe leave us a review. That is super helpful. Also, if you’d like to support the show and help out, we would enjoy that. It’s only $5 a month. It’s over at Patreon.com/TheClipOut. For $5, you get ad-free episodes. If we get them early, you get them early. Of course, you get a bonus episode. We recorded an extra episode every week of stories that we didn’t have time to get to in the main episode. For $5, you get all of that.
What are we talking about this week?
This week, we’re going to be talking about ways you can trick your brain into choosing movement over screen time. Also, some anti-chafing tips, and then finally, a Peloton instructor is looking for a new management team, and they are doing it very publicly. We will talk about that over on the bonus episode at Patreon.com/TheClipOut.
You can also find all of our stuff over on Facebook, Facebook.com/TheClipOut. While you’re there, like the page and join the group. We have a mailing list. We’ll send you links to articles and all that stuff once a week. You can sign up for that at TheClipOut.com. Cody Rigsby Netflix: It’s back to Workouts.
We shall.
‐‐‐
Peloton Made Some Tweaks To Their User Interface But Tweaked It Right Back!
Peloton has been tweaking. They made some tweaks to their user interface, and then they tweaked it right back.
One of our eagle-eyed tipsters noticed that on your profile page, instead of it saying “Overview” and “Workouts,” all of a sudden, it said “History.” Instead of saying “Workouts,” it now says “History.” We were like, “That’s weird.” Honestly, I would have never even noticed. I would have assumed I had missed that the whole time. I would have gas lit myself.
You got Mandela affected.
It’s Back To “Workouts”
Today, I had it in the notes, and I’m going to make sure to bring that up, then our tipster said that it’s fine now. It’s back to Workouts. I don’t know if that means they’re testing something, they’re changing something, or some changes are coming, and this was a little roll-out to see how that works.
It can’t be an A/B test because Barry doesn’t work there anymore.
On that note, I found out today, perusing the old LinkedIn, that there have been some more layoffs over at the corporate. I don’t know if we’ll hear about it during the next earnings call or not. I’m not clear when the layoffs occurred, but the person we still communicated with in Communications has been laid off. I feel like that means this was a little bit bigger. Since it was Communications, no one wanted to communicate about that.
There is no one there to tell anyone. because they were like, “On your way out the door, could you roll a press release for us?” They were like, “Counteroffer, eat a d***.”

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Peloton partnered with the Me, Myself, & I Festival, which took place in Puerto Rico.
I don’t think there’s any bad blood. I don’t know when these layoffs occurred. I just noticed that this person indicated they had. They use the word they had been laid off and they are gone. They are moving on to different pastures.
They are looking to hire someone. We will be talking about that in the bonus.
Maybe they can’t afford that because that position is paying some big old bucks.
It does. I don’t know if that’s big bucks in New York City. It’s decent, but it’s not. We’ll get to that. Peloton is tweaking. There we go.
Peloton is tweaking.
Peloton Partnership With The Me, Myself, & I Festival
Peloton partnered with the Me, Myself, & I Festival, which took place in Puerto Rico.
To be honest, I don’t know much about this. I know that this festival has existed. I think it’s seven years. It’s the first time that Peloton has been present. I know that it’s a wellness and movement festival. I’m sorry, it’s ten years. That’s how long it has been there. I do know that Camilla, Mariana, and Rad all joined the lineup. Athletech spoke to Camilla about her experience. They did a little interview with her. She talked about one class she did that focuses on core strength. Another was targeting the lower body.
She talked about how you don’t need fancy equipment or a gym to feel strong and capable. You can do that by yourself. She also talked about how important it is for the emotional and mental aspects of fitness. Also, that movement is healing, and it’s not just how your body looks but how it feels. They also had deeper conversations at the event about mental health, self-care, and the power of community.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: GQ Magazine UK featured Peloton’s partnership with Liverpool FC.
GQ Magazine UK Featured Peloton’s Partnership With Liverpool FC
GQ Magazine, the UK version of it, has an article about Peloton’s partnership with Liverpool FC with their football club. For the Americans, that’s soccer. The F stands for soccer. I thought it was interesting because it was talking about not just their partnership from a marketing standpoint, but how access to Peloton fitness routines has had a material impact on the team itself.
I just skimmed this article. My understanding was that they felt it had changed for the better for the team. Was there an impact on recovery? Was there more to it than that, or was it just focused on recovery? What I understood was that it was talking about their routine post-game. Being able to take the time to make sure that they eat well, especially after a big game, and then also doing stretching.
Now that they have access to Peloton, they can quickly be able to find classes in stretches that they should be doing. They are also enjoying the meditations to help them fall asleep faster. I think that’s great because I feel like that is so important to me. They also have been enjoying the Lanebreak on the tread and the bike because it’s like an instructor-led class, but it has the game aspect, and they enjoy that.
That makes sense because men tend to like video games more than women. I’m painting with a broad brush.
Yes, you are. These days, it’s not like that anymore.
It still skews. It only makes sense that a team made up of young men is like, “I can exercise and play a video game.” That makes total sense.
They also like it because they have access to the stats, but they’re not forced to analyze the stats. They’re there if they want to go look at them, but they don’t have to jump into it and dig deep. It’s there, but it’s not pushed on them. That’s all great. That’s a lot of fun. It’s cool that they’re highlighting it. I guess the reason that they’re highlighting it now is because they’re doing well in their championships. They’re getting to the end of whatever season they’re in. It’s playoff time. I guess it’s like in hockey right now.
We’re doing something with hockey?

Cody Rigsby Netflix: The London Marathon is just around the corner, and Peloton has all sorts of events planned.
Yeah, I don’t know much. I just know that we haven’t lost any games in a long time, and that’s a big deal for the Blues. What I also know about the Blues is that anytime they make it to the championships, they completely jack it up. Except for one time, and we’re still talking about it.
The London Marathon Is Just Around The Corner; Peloton’s Planned Events
The London Marathon is just around the corner, and Peloton has all sorts of events planned.
On the 24th of April, they’re going to be doing a ShakeOut run. That’s a Thursday. On Friday, they will be doing a recovery workshop. On Monday, the 28th, they will have a Recovery Hub. You’re going to be able to go in, use the Normatec, and get your legs all nice and feeling good.
You dig the Normatec when you try it at the PSNY.
That was very relaxing. I would love to.
You were like, “Tom, can you go to the food court for a little while. I’m just going to be here, Normatec-ing.”
Peloton’s Partnership With Accor
We go back in time a little bit. Back in ‘23, Peloton and Accor originally started their partnership and added Peloton to their hotel offerings in their fitness rooms. What they’re doing now is there’s the Mantra Hotel and they are offering new in-room wellness where they are going to have a Peloton bike, a Nutribullet Blender, a yoga mat and blocks, and resistance bands. You’re going to be able to do all of the things in your room.
They said that since they started their partnership back in ‘23, they have had guests do 13,000 workouts on a Peloton bike during their stay. They have also added a rewards incentive through their loyalty program called ALL. It allows guests to earn 100 reward points when they exercise with Peloton either on the bike or through the Peloton app while they’re at the hotel.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Peloton and Accor started their partnership back in ‘23 and added Peloton to their hotel offerings in their fitness rooms.
You just put together a stack of yoga and you go to bed. By the time you wake up, you will have 20,000 points.
I feel like there’s probably a cap.
That’s our Australian life hack for you. You can cash them all in and get yourself a Little River Band CD.
There you go. Bringing all your favorite things together, pop culture, fitness, and Australia.
Coming up after this, we’re going to tackle Instructors in the News. Cody Rigsby is not happy with Netflix. It’s not because of their price hike. Stick around.

Cody Rigsby Claps Back At Netflix
Cody Rigsby is less than happy with Netflix.
I do have to say it’s the show Running Point. I don’t know that Netflix did all of those things. I don’t know if they own all of the decision-making on the show. I want to point that out because there might be a production company in there making these decisions besides Netflix.
Are you afraid Netflix is going to cancel our favorite shows?

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Cody Rigsby is less than happy with Netflix.
No, I am not. I just wanted to point out that when you say Netflix, it’s a Netflix show. Cody posted a scene from the show Running Point. It appears to be a Cody Rigsby look-alike. In fact, they call him Corey. He said that it was giving Wish.com, which is very accurate. He also said that he looked like they were on an Echelon bike, also accurate for a Wish.com comment. Cody said that they had called him and negotiated to some degree about him being on the show.
They were interested in him doing this cameo, and then they stopped talking to him. The show finally comes out, and it’s Corey.
It’s the same look. The same way he talks. It’s his sassiness. It’s very Cody.
It’s Cody coded.
The thing is they are using his brand. It’s not so much that it’s a Peloton knockoff. It’s that it’s a Cody knockoff. I feel like he took this pretty personally.
I don’t blame him.
I know you don’t. I feel like if Cody saw somebody else having this reaction, he would then make fun of them for having the same reaction he had.
I think that’s possibly true.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Mayla Wedekind launched an Instagram series for surfers
I can’t say that I disagree with him either.
It’s because they reached out to him. I think they thought he’d be like, “I’m going to be on a show. That’s fun and exciting,” and then he was like, “I would like to get paid.” They were like, “We’re going to pay you. It’s just that we’re going to pay you with the exposure.” Cody is probably at the point in his career where he’s like, “I don’t need the exposure. You pay me.”
He’s like, “How about you expose my pocketbook?”
I get that, and then they turn around and hire a Cody impersonator.
Also, Peloton impersonator by using an Echelon. If somebody out there uses Echelon, more power to you. I’m not knocking the fact that you don’t want to pay Peloton dollars. I get that, but it will never not irritate me that Echelon copied every single thing and acted like they were the first one to think about it. Cody even says, “I think that’s an Echelon. That’s tacky.” He flat-out uses the word tacky.
Especially in this context, when they wanted Peloton and then went the other direction. That’s not a good look. I will say I understand Cody’s motivation, and I would share his frustration, but doing something like this might also slow down the next request from someone because they’re like, “If negotiations break down, he’s going to trash us.”
This is where being a celebrity of any kind, but especially a mid-tier celebrity. I know that Peloton instructors are A-level celebrities to us. In reality, in the ecosphere, they are not. They are not top-level celebrities.
We also live in a world these days where there are very few top-tier celebrities. I would say like 90% of celebrities are mid-tier celebrities. It’s because our programming has become so fragmented. It’s hard for anyone to rise above it and become known to society’s pop culture on the whole. I would go even further as to say that 10% of those celebrities who are true A-list celebrities, I bet you 70% or maybe 80% predate the rise of fragmentation. You’re talking Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, and George Clooney. It’s a lot harder to find someone who got well-known at that level post-internet.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Mariana was featured in Us Weekly in Spanish for her time in Puerto Rico where she talked about her life and all kinds of facts about that.
That wasn’t me shitting on Cody. I’m just saying they’re not. From Cody’s perspective, I’m watching it as an outsider. I see that he’s like, “I’m so big and important. How dare you put me on hold and not go with me, but you can afford Sephora?” I get where he’s coming from. I totally see that, but it sounds childish. It doesn’t sound very grateful. It sounds a little out of touch with the rest of the world, a little tone deaf for where the world is. I think that if it were Taylor Swift, because he hates Taylor Swift, saying something like this, he would be all over it. He would be like, “That’s so tacky. She needs to get over herself.” He would have a total attitude about it. That’s pretty ironic.
There’s a good chance Sephora paid them. That’s a product placement. There’s a great chance they paid to be on the show.
They might have looked at Peloton as product placement, or even Cody as product placement. That’s why they expected him to be like, “Yay, I’m going to be on TV.” He probably saw it as an appearance fee, like if he was going to do a big speech or whatever. I don’t begrudge him for that, getting paid what you’re worth. I’m not quite sure this was the best long-term plan. It’s hilarious. I love that he did it, but I’m not sure it was in his best interest long term. Maybe he doesn’t care. Maybe he’s like, “I am at the point where I can get things. Even if it does slow down some opportunities, it’s not going to slow me down. I don’t care.”
That could very well be, but at his core, we can certainly relate to someone coming in and stealing your idea.
Absolutely.
Mayla Wedekind’s Instagram Series For Surfers
Mayla Wedekind has launched an Instagram series for surfers.
I love this because it’s so personal to her. She loves to surf and she talks about it all the time on Instagram. She has a little bit of this Instagram series. It’s going to be solely focused on training for surfing, but when I say it’s a little bit, it’s going to be like a mini-series that she’s going to put together on Instagram. I think that’s fun.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Susie Chan’s book is up for the Sports Book of the Year.
It’s called Train for Waves. I would think that’s a lot of core. I would think you’d need a lot of core.
It works for core, too, but anything that’s laterals or so, I think she’s working one side at a time also, so that you can move this arm, and it’s not going to affect this arm. While that’s also affecting your core, it’s also creating individual strengths in both arms and individual strength in both legs, so that they can work independently, and they don’t have to just work together. It’s an important part of balance as well.
Mariana Fernandez Featured In Us Weekly In Spanish
Mariana was featured in Us Weekly in Spanish.
It was for her time in Puerto Rico, and doing an interview with her about her life and all kinds of facts about that. I love seeing our instructors get featured like this.
El yoga tambien tiene banda sonora y ritmo latino. That’s the headline. I believe it means Yoga also has Latin rhythms and songs. I think Sonora means songs or music. It’s just saying that there’s a Latin element there, too.
Yes, there is
My Spanish classes came in handy. I can’t believe I remembered that as much of that as I did.
You don’t need fancy equipment or a gym to feel strong and capable—you can do that on your own.
That was impressive.
Susie Chan’s Book Is Up For The Sports Book Of The Year
Susie Chan’s book is up for the Sports Book of the Year.
This is the second short list that she’s had for best book. There was one for outdoor sports. This is exciting. Today is the last day to vote. By the time you hear this, it’ll be too late. I posted it on my socials. I hope that she wins this. Of all the instructor books I read, this was my favorite. It was so good.
Peloton posted it on their socials. I thought that it’s cool of them to drive there because that’s a lot of people.
It is a lot of people.
Christopher Wheeldon Won An Olivier Award
Ross Rayburn’s husband, Christopher Wheeldon, won an Olivier Award. This is over in the UK, and that is their equivalent of a Tony.
Not only did he win, but when he went up to do his acceptance speech, Ross got a little mention. I love that. It was so sweet.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Ross Rayburn’s husband, Christopher Wheeldon, won an Olivier Award.
It was not perfunctory, like, “Of course, thanks to my husband.”
He was like, “All the things we fixed over the breakfast table.”
He was giving him credit for a certain degree of input to the show. I’m sure it’s so different than any marriage where you do this with your work. I do this with mine. There are talks like, “What about this? What if they did this thing?”
This was for the MJ, right?
I believe so. It opened in the West End.
I enjoyed that show. I enjoyed it. I didn’t see it in the West End. I saw it in New York. Congrats. I know that Ross has moved on from Peloton, but he is still in our hearts.

The Latest Artist Series Features Miranda Lambert
The latest artist series features Miranda Lambert.
There’s going to be a few different classes for this. There’s going to be a full-body stretch with Selena, a walk with Selena, and then a ride with Ally. I thought this was interesting because I thought there would be more classes. Some of these artists have 10 or 11 classes. I have no idea how they negotiate these. I believe that she came out with the new album. I think this coincides with that. I’m a Miranda Lambert fan. I’m looking forward to that.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: The latest Artist Series features Miranda Lambert.
She got lots of hits.
I would think that. I’m looking forward to taking the classes with Selena.
Coming up after this, we’re going to cover some celeb stuff. We will tell you about someone new who we know is using a Peloton, and someone that we’ve known for a while who is using a Peloton, and the big weekend he had. Stick around.
‐‐‐
Rory McIlroy Won The Masters
For golf fans, you already know that Rory McIlroy won the Masters over the weekend, but he is also a long-time and very vocal Peloton member.
Even I know that. I didn’t know the rest of it, though. Apparently, not only did he win the Masters, but there are also some other things he did. I guess he won a grand slam. There are only six professional golfers who have won a career grand slam. He’s the first European to do so, and that includes winning the US Open, the PGA Championship, the Open, which is different from the US Open, and the Masters. This is also the first major that he has won since 2014. He had been written off. Nikki told me all of these things.
In the detailed notes that we have in front of us. These are not things either of us knows.
I did know that he competed alongside the ESPN All-Star ride in the middle of COVID. Do you remember that? We watched it on ESPN. He was one of the riders. He has been putting up big numbers on the leaderboard lately. He’s only 5’9” and 160 pounds, but if you go and look at his stats and everything, they are crazy high. He did go online and say, “Yes, that was me. I did do it, and it was real.” I thought that was cool, but Nikki also pointed out that that sounds like a long journey. That sounds like somebody who has accomplished a lot and might be a little later in their years. He’s only 35.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Rory McIlroy, a long-time and very vocal Peloton member, won the Masters over the weekend.
I hear the last time he won a major tournament was 2014. I’m like, “This guy is probably 45 or early 50s.” I know golf is a sport that you can play competitively later in life, as opposed to football, where time takes its toll pretty quickly.
This is huge, and I would not have known how huge without Nikki explaining all these things. Thank you, Nikki. Congratulations to Rory McIlroy. That is so cool.
I would know nothing about any of this. I know three golfers: Tiger Woods, Happy Gilmore, and Ty Webb.
I didn’t know Rory McIlroy, but only because he was on ESPN that one time riding a Peloton.
Ellie Taylor Is A Peloton User!
We also found out, or at least it’s news to us, that Ellie Taylor is a Peloton user. She’s been on lots of things and is very popular in the UK. She was also on Ted Lasso. She is Rebecca, the owner of the club, and her best friend that Ted Lasso might or might not be shagging. He did at least once. Maybe that’s his romantic interest as the show moves forward. There was an article where they were asking her all sorts of questions for the times over in the UK. She said that she gets all of her life instructions from Peloton instructors.

The TCO Top 5
It is time for the TCO Top 5 with a little help from Helper Bee Chris.
Can I give a quick update on Tina and Mason?
It’s your show. I’m just a sidekick.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Ellie Taylor is a Peloton user!
It’s not as jolly of an update. Mason has been struggling. He has three different infections right now. He’s been in the hospital for a couple of weeks. It’s been a rough month. If you know Tina, please reach out and send your love. If you don’t but would like to support, this is going to be a long journey, over a couple of years. They can use all the help they can get. There have been multiple helicopter rides from Erie to Pittsburgh because they’ve had to get him to the hospital quickly. This is going to be quite the journey for them, so anything we can do to support.
Segue into the TCO Top 5, number one is your favorite walk-run.
It was Dr. Dre. Jess Sims taught this class. It was a walk plus run that was taught on April 12th, 30 minutes. Andrea Bettendorf Jordan said that she liked it so much. It had a great playlist that featured Dr. Dre, but also stars like Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Gwen Stefani.
Number two, your favorite ride. I’m sensing a theme.
People enjoyed the Dr. Dre series. Cliff Dwenger also taught a class that was a 30-minute ride in German on Thursday, April 10th. Katie Bromley took this class. She said that it was fire. Every song was perfect, and it pushed her to a PR. It is a German language class, but it does offer English subtitles.
Number three, we got another ride for people.
This is going back to 2024. It was a 45-minute sweaty ride. Catherine nominated this. She hadn’t done one of these for a while, but she enjoyed it. Chris recommends that you be well-rested because this particular class was rated 8.6 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. Pretty high.
Almost an unstackable. Number four, your favorite run. This is the first time we’ve ever had a Jess King double. She had a ride, but she also had a run that she taught. This one, we were going way back in the archives. This is from April 5th, 2022. Danette Royal Giles went into the Peloton vault to find this one. She said that the playlist was put together by none other than DJ John Michael. This class had dance mixes from all of her favorite musicals, and it was so fun. It was a 20-minute Broadway run.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: The TCO Top 5
Finally, your unstackable.
This particular Top 5 was all force because this is the first time we’ve ever had an unstackable from Sam Yo. He did a 45-minute HIIT and Hills ride that was taught on April 7th. Karen Bensley is the one who nominated this. She said it was a well-structured class with carefully crafted HIIT intervals and Hills paired with motivating music and excellently coached by Sam. It was perfection in a challenging way, including 27 intervals. That’s a lot for 45 minutes, and it also has great tracks from Linkin Park, Lady Gaga, and One Republic.
Is there a master list somewhere? How do you know that this is the first Sam Yo unstackable?
Because I read these every week. There is a list, but I don’t know if we’ve been updating this list. I don’t know that we’ve updated the list. Helper Bee Darcy had to step down from doing the TCO Top 5, but she had created a list. I don’t know if we still update that list. I’m 99% sure that we’ve never had Sam Yo unstackable.
I was curious because it’s the first time Jess King had a double. How are you?
I don’t know. I just remember these things.
I don’t know how people can remember such weird, useless stuff. It is such an alien concept to me.
I will remind you of it the next time we’re at a trivia night.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: This Week at Peloton: It’s all about drum and bass.
Where I weaponize it.
Exactly.
This Week At Peloton: Drum And Bass
It is time now to take a look at This Week at Peloton. We have Hannah’s drum and bass run.
Hannah is teaching a class this week called the drum and bass run. It is a 20-minute class on Saturday, April 19th at 9:30 AM, Eastern.
We’ve also got some other classes for people to check out, 45-minute yoga and Pilates.
Anna is teaching a 45-minute yoga and Pilates and I love these so much. This one was on demand, dropped on April 14th, then there was the 60-minute bike boot camp that Rad taught on April 17th. I think that was live, and then a 60-minute My Mixed Tape ride with Jenn Sherman, and that is going to be live on April 20th.
The New Power Zone Program Officially Announced
The new Power Zone Program that we talked about last week has been officially announced.
This is going to be a special one because it is going to be the first live Power Zone Program. What that means is some of the classes are going to be on demand, like they always have been. Some of them are going to be live. Every Saturday over eight weeks, at a different time, taught by different instructors, because there are multiple time zones. Everyone is freaking out, calm down. They’re going to be able to be on live. This is a big deal. Do you remember the Power Zone pack?

Cody Rigsby Netflix: The new Power Zone Program has been officially announced.
Vaguely.
They originally started off working with Matt to create Power Zone challenges. That team went off on their own and did their own challenges. Matt then evolved and went off on his own to do Team Wilpers. Team Wilpers has been doing their own Power Zone challenges, and they have been doing Power Zone running. Now, Peloton, with the help of teams and its new social add-on to the platform, is doing its first live. It’s happening in a real-time challenge. It has never been done.
It’s a program, but it’s a challenge. You’re going to get badges for it. It’s not going to be locked like a typical program. Remember, we’ve talked about before a program that’s keeping you looking forward to a class, so none of that. What’s going to be interesting about this is that there are a lot of questions still open. If you miss the class on Saturday live, I assume you can still take it, but you have a certain amount of time, or it does not count.
One of the things that people liked about the Power Zone pack challenges and the Team Wilpers challenges is that people were assigned to teams, and then they could compete against each other based on who was able to complete what and how high their scores were. Is that going to be some kind of factor? No one knows the answer to that. Peloton has been trying to increase its platform, and it’s been increasing the offerings within that platform to try to take people away, maybe from Facebook and Instagram, to keep it all within their own ecosystem.
They haven’t gotten very far in that world, so no one is quite clear if that means we’re going to start seeing more there, and it will roll out around the time that it starts, which would be April 21st. There are a lot of questions. What we do know is it’s going to be those three classes. People who have never done Power Zone can still start with an FTP class, get their zones, and you can join in. It is more designed for people who have already done some bass training, and that you’re trying to increase their power. It doesn’t mean you can’t join in, but that’s what it’s designed for.
Matt explained it on Instagram as having like, Find your Power Zones. There’s a program for that. There’s one that’s like, now get into the program and understand all the different kinds of Power Zones. Now this is like you’ve done those two, you’ve got all your basics, now take it to the next level. That’s what this is supposed to be.
You could put all those together and have a training block. I’ve been talking for a long time about that one thing that I feel like Peloton needs to work on, having a way to increase your training and take it from point A to point B. This is a piece of that, so you can take all three of those programs back to back, and you have now elevated your training. You have done periodization of training. That’s the way progressive overload works. You keep getting better. There you go.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: The Strength for Cyclists program is coming up!
Thank you.
You’re welcome.
Strength For Cyclists Program
There is also a Strength for Cyclists program in our future.
It’s going to be a one-week program. This is going to be able to help boost your performance. It’s going to be dropping on April 25th. It’s going to build power, mobility, and performance. That is coming out very soon.
That’s a good idea. If you want people to try Strength+ and you’re probably using the Peloton bike, so like, “I’ve never done this before. This will help me get better on my bike, which is what I care about.” “Okay.” We also heard Jess Sims tease a new program this week.
She was finishing up a class, and she said that it would be dropping today. In theory, it dropped today, and I never saw it. We don’t know if it was going to be one of those split trainings where it’s all Jess Sims. Maybe it was going to be on Strength+, or she’s part of a longer training program, and it’s one instructor out of many. I’m not sure, but she teased that she was going to be part of a new program. That’s pretty exciting.
I’m sure we will talk all about it next week.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: Lululemon and Peloton released their Spring collection.
We will, but I have to say one more thing while we’re in the content. We had talked last week about the beta test for walking because there’s going to be Pace Targets for walking. We’ve known about that for a long time, but we did find out last week they were beta testing it. We found out from our little birdie that they ended it early. Our beta tester took that to mean that it went very well, and they are probably going to be rolling out very soon. Look forward to that as well.

Lululemon And Peloton’s Spring Collection
The Lululemon and Peloton Spring collection is here.
We have a couple of different things. One, we have lots of strappy bras. Two, we have a dress that has pockets, and it’s a one-piece.
That’s cool. I know how important pockets are for women, and you rarely get them.
It’s true. Although I feel like a lot of women are going to be like me. They’re like, “Girl, that dress is way too short.” I don’t care if it has pockets. I don’t care if it’s got a skort. Just no.
I clicked through the slide on the Instagram link that you sent because I saw the first one, and the dress was so short. I was like, “That’s got to have a skort or something. That’s just a free show.” It does, and that’s where the pockets at. Even then, that is very short.
A One-Piece Short Skorts
Yes, it is very short. We talk about it all the time over in the TCO group, where all the helper bees and the tipsters are. Women do not want to go into a bathroom. It’s the middle of summer, and you’re at a park. You’re going to go and pee in this? Explain to me how you get out of this thing.
I did not even think about that.

Cody Rigsby Netflix: It has pockets, but it’s very short. Women don’t want to go into a bathroom in the park in the middle of summer wearing this. It’s so hard to get out of this thing.
You’ve got to pull everything down. If you’re at home, that’s one thing, but in a very cramped bathroom that has questionable cleanliness, ew.
I don’t think about getting other women out of their skorts, but now that you forced me to think about such a thing, I’m like, “How would you get out of an outfit like this?”
It’s all coming off. It’s all going down, which means you’re sitting there with everything hanging out. A lot of times, public bathrooms still have those big gaps. No, thank you.
We don’t have any birthdays this week, so I guess that brings this episode to a close. Until next week, where can people find you?
