From Across the Country to New York at 17

Hannah’s story starts with a bold move. At 17 years old, she packed up and relocated across the country to New York City to pursue a career in dance.

It was the kind of leap that takes equal parts talent and nerve. She went on to build a career as a dancer and aerialist, performing professionally while taking on side jobs to make ends meet in an expensive city.

Those side jobs ended up planting seeds. Working in fitness and wellness contexts outside of performance shifted her perspective on movement, and that pivot eventually led her toward coaching and instruction.

If you want more on that origin story, our piece on Hannah Corbin’s decade at Peloton is a great place to start.

How Hannah Found Peloton Before Most People Knew What It Was

Hannah came to Peloton when the company was still in its Kickstarter days, operating primarily as a hardware and software company with very few fitness instructors on staff.

She was among the first wave of instructors the company brought on, getting in at a time when Peloton was still building the foundation of what it would become.

That early chapter gives important context to just how far both she and the brand have grown together.

The Autoimmune Journey the Latina to Latina Podcast Brings to the Surface

One of the most compelling parts of this Latina to Latina podcast episode is Hannah’s discussion of a multi-year struggle with an undiagnosed autoimmune disease.

She has spoken about this before, including in a Dance Magazine profile we covered here, but the Latina to Latina podcast format draws out a more personal and reflective conversation than a standard interview tends to allow.

Hannah talks about how the diagnosis forced her to rethink how she used her energy and what she was willing to give to her career. The condition affected her energy levels and pushed her to treat movement and recovery as genuine health priorities, not just performance maintenance.

The “Did You Stretch Tho” Connection

The episode title is a direct nod to Hannah’s book, “Did You Stretch Tho: 52 Stretches to Increase Flexibility, Balance, and Performance,” published in November 2025.

The themes she raises connect directly to what the book is built around: the importance of mobility, the physical cost of skipping recovery, and how a performer’s relationship with their body changes over time.

We covered the book in depth when it launched. You can read that piece here. For members who already have the book, this episode adds a meaningful layer of context to the philosophy behind it.

Why It Is Worth Your 25 Minutes

Hannah Corbin has done a lot of interviews. What makes this Latina to Latina podcast episode stand out is the combination of host, format, and timing.

Alicia Menendez is a skilled interviewer who goes beyond the press-tour surface. And Hannah is at a point in her career where she has a lot to reflect on.

That includes a decade-plus at Peloton, a return to professional performing including her memorable appearance on stage with Ariana Grande at the 2024 Met Gala, which we covered here, a published book, and a hard-won understanding of what her body needs.

This is one of the more in-depth conversations Hannah has given in recent years. Whether you are a longtime fan or someone who just discovered her through the book, it is a worthwhile listen.
