Recap of The Clip Out’s First Book Club Meeting – And What We’ll Be Reading Next!
The inaugural meeting of the Clip Out’s book club Tuesday night was full of fun and lots of Peloton talk, complete with thoughts from the author of the book, Crystal’s insights, and, of course, Tom’s random hilarity!
Clip Out Patreon members of all levels got to meet virtually with Crystal, Tom, and David J. Miller, Ph.D., the author of the book club’s first book, “Sweating Together: How Peloton Built A Billion Dollar Venture and Created Community in a Digital World”. (One of the book club members revealed to David that she had read his book while on her honeymoon – talk about romance!!!). Note, you can watch the entire meeting by joining the Patreon Community if you missed it!
The group talked about how Peloton went from a small community to the largest connected fitness platform unlike any other – and how Peloton helps makes us healthy and happy! We discussed what we would like to see Peloton focus on in the future, like potentially helping us to program our ideal workout schedule, and more seasoned members had some nostalgic memories from the ”way back Peloton time machine” – including their love of magic pants! As David so aptly stated – We had good lives before Peloton but now we have great lives!
Crystal then spun our magical book selector and chose next month’s book – this time, we’ll be reading a work of fiction by Peloton community member Sara Goodman Confino, “Don’t Forget to Write.” You can order it here – and we’ll be posting a weekly schedule to keep you on track with your reading and thoughts to ponder as you read – culminating in our next book club meeting which will be held on November 14, 2023 at 7 p.m. c.t. Join us for an evening of fun and book nerdiness, sprinkled with our love of Peloton – and remember, this is open to all levels of Patreon members, even the free level! We hope to see you there.
