Moment for Peace Collection: Finding Stillness with Peloton

The Moment for Peace Collection, launched January 27, 2026 on the Peloton platform, brings a much-needed sense of calm when the world feels uncertain. The constant stream of news and updates can be overwhelming, making it tough to find even a brief pause. In these challenging times, turning inward isn’t just helpful; it’s essential for your well-being. Meditation is one of the most effective ways to manage stress, and the Moment for Peace collection is designed to support you every step of the way.

Our community knows how to rally together when it matters. On January 27th, Mariana Fernandes led a moving live community meditation called “Holding Space” with many instructors sitting alongside her. Thousands of members joined in breathing together. This powerful gathering underscored how much we all need a Moment for Peace, inspiring Peloton to create a dedicated space for these experiences.

Why Turn to Meditation in Turbulent Times?

If your mind is cluttered with stress or worry, taking just five minutes for a Moment for Peace meditation can be more helpful than you might think. You may feel you should always be doing something productive, but modern science and timeless wisdom agree that meditation is a powerful tool for mental and emotional health.

Practicing meditation helps activate your parasympathetic nervous system, otherwise known as the “rest and digest” system. This calms your body and counteracts the “fight or flight” response often triggered by stress. By focusing on your breath or following a guided session from the Moment for Peace collection, you tell your body it’s time to relax. This can lower your heart rate, decrease blood pressure, and reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

Developing a consistent meditation habit also builds mental resilience. It gives you the tools to notice your thoughts before reacting to them, so you can create space between a trigger and your response. That skill is invaluable, helping you navigate both major global events and everyday challenges with more ease and perspective. Want to read more about meditation with Peloton? About the Author: Liz Nikol (#JustAskForHelp)

My daily therapy is provided by Peloton and I truly believe that movement is medicine. I don't discriminate - bike, tread, yoga, strength, pilates and a ton of meditation. By day, I am a psychotherapist and director of a large counseling center in NJ. I am particularly passionate about women's mental health, especially in midlife. By night, I am a mom to 2 dachshunds and a scruffy mutt and wife to a chiropractor that keeps us all moving (yes, that includes the dogs!). Besides Peloton, I am obsessed with hard rock (think Octane on Sirius), Law and Order everything and a good thriller. Find me on the Peloton leaderboard at #JustAskForHelp.
