Ash Pryor’s Knee Surgery Sidelines Her From Schedule After March 22
Ash Pryor’s knee surgery news arrived this weekend, straight from the Peloton Row instructor herself via a multi-slide Instagram post that was equal parts candid, funny, and characteristically Ash. She is taking herself off the live teaching schedule for a few weeks to have surgery on her left knee and complete physical therapy before returning.
Ash’s Last Live Class Before Her Break
Before stepping away, Ash made sure her community had one more chance to show up for her. Her final live class before the break was a 45-minute Endurance Row scheduled for Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 2:30 pm ET. In a caption she shared on Instagram on March 21, she wrote: “Come see me row and feel the flow…one last time LIVE, before I’m off for a few weeks recovering. I’d love to see you there.” She noted that members could join on the Row, bike, tread, or any other modality, with a simple directive: “Just pull up!”
The choice of theme for that final class was fitting. Ash titled it “Love Letters,” her signature series. The Love Letters concept has deep roots in how Ash connects with her community. She originally launched it as a three-class arc in summer and fall of 2025, built around member stories tied to leaderboard names in a “Dear Ash” format. The idea was to hear, speak life into, and highlight the story behind the name. The September 14, 2025 class was the finale of that series. Choosing Love Letters as the theme for her last live class before surgery is not a coincidence. It is Ash at her most intentional.
She called the departure a “realignment” rather than a comeback, which is on-brand for someone who rarely frames anything as a setback.
What Ash Said About Her Left Knee
Ash kept her announcement light but direct. In her Instagram slides, she pointed squarely at her left knee as the issue, saying it had been getting on her nerves and it was time to put it in “timeout.” The plan is surgery followed by physical therapy, with Ash expected to be off the schedule for a few weeks while she recovers.
She also made clear that she is not going quietly. “The AshWhoopin when I am back will be top tier,” she wrote, adding a note for her community to “stack up your red” before she returns. If you know, you know.
Ash Pryor’s Knee Surgery and What It Means for the Peloton Row Schedule
Ash Pryor’s knee surgery timing is notable for the Row community. Alongside Alex Karwoski, the two recently filmed a 2-for-1 Row class together at Peloton Studios New York, which is expected to drop in the on-demand library around March 25. That class will still be available regardless of Ash’s schedule status, and it gives Row members something to look forward to while she is out.
Peloton has not announced any schedule changes in response to Ash’s absence, and no return date has been confirmed beyond her own description of “a few weeks.”
What to Expect When She Gets Back
Ash has always brought an unmistakable energy to the Peloton Row. She is the founder of Relentless Rowing Academy, a nonprofit focused on making rowing more accessible to athletes from marginalized communities, and she was a Peloton member herself before becoming an instructor. Earlier this year, she competed in HYROX Las Vegas in the Doubles category alongside Peloton member Erin Grignon, and she was part of the instructor team behind Peloton’s 12-week HYROX Training Program that launched in February. Someone who competes in HYROX and then shows up to teach does not sit still for long.
If her post is any indication, Ash Pryor’s knee surgery recovery is going to be thorough, intentional, and followed by a return that her community is already being told to prepare for. Wishing Ash a smooth surgery and a strong, full recovery.
