Ally Love Shapes Parenting Trends Through Pinterest Insight

Last Updated: February 25, 2026By Tags:

Ally Love is shaping parenting trends! Pinterest has released its inaugural “Parenting Trend Report,” offering data-driven insights into how modern parents are approaching raising their children. Published in February 2026, the report highlights a significant shift toward intentional, hands-on experiences and a notable resurgence of 1990s nostalgia.

Pinterest Data Highlights Shifts in Parenting

According to Sydney Stanback, Global Trends and Insights Lead at Pinterest, the platform’s 600 million monthly users provide an early look into emerging cultural patterns. “We go beyond tracking keyword spikes by analyzing colors, aesthetics, and styles to understand how tastes are shifting,” Stanback explained. This analysis, combined with expert curation, helps differentiate meaningful trends from fleeting moments.

A Move Toward Experience-Rich Childhoods

A primary finding from the report is a move toward what it calls “experience-rich childhoods.” Parents are actively seeking ways to reduce digital distractions and engage their children in more tangible activities. Search data from the platform supports this, showing a 200% year-over-year increase for “screen free activities” and a 340% increase for “no phone summer.”

Further data points illustrate this trend:

  • “Educational activities for kids” searches are up 280%.
  • “Outdoor learning” has seen a 65% increase.
  • “Movement activities for toddlers” has risen by 145%.

Nostalgia Shapes Modern Parenting

The report also reveals a strong nostalgic current, with parents who grew up in the 1990s introducing elements of their own childhoods to their kids. Searches for “’90s baby clothes” have increased by 660%, and “’90s kids’ toys” are up 80%. This indicates a desire to blend past and present, creating shared family experiences.

Peloton Instructor Ally Love: Parenting by Example

Peloton instructor and new mother Ally Love, who partnered with Pinterest for the report’s launch, shared how the platform influenced her own parenting decisions. Instead of a traditional nursery, Love used Pinterest for inspiration to create dedicated baby-friendly spaces throughout her home. “He has a corner of the living room. He has a corner of the guest bedroom,” Love said. “I got a lot of inspiration from Pinterest about different ways a nursery can exist in a home that’s not just its own space.”

Ally noted that the report’s focus on slowing down and enjoying parenthood resonates with her experience. She sees platforms like Pinterest as a valuable community resource where parents can find guidance and support from others.

How Parents Shop and Plan with Pinterest

The report also sheds light on shopping habits and travel planning. According to the findings, 64% of parents using Pinterest monthly research products online before making a purchase. Specific product searches on the rise include flying toys (+735%) and kids’ swimsuits (+530%). In travel, searches for “traveler’s journal” surged by 1280%, while “family trip vision board” increased by 545%, signaling a methodical approach to planning family adventures.

Designing a Modern Childhood

Stanback summarized the report’s purpose, stating, “I imagine this report being used as both a source of reassurance and a source of inspiration for parents at every stage in their journey.” The data suggests families are using the platform not just for ideas but to thoughtfully design the kind of childhood they want their children to remember, prioritizing connection and engagement beyond screens.
