2024 Top Ten Unstackable Classes
As you know, each week The Clip Out brings you the Top 5 favorite classes selected by you, our listeners. The last class we recommended every week is the UNSTACKABLE class – the one that left you in a puddle and washed all hope of a stack of extra classes away with it. If you enjoy a challenge (and some torture, in the best kind of way) we’re here for you. Here are the top 10 Peloton Unstackable classes of 2024 – don’t say we didn’t warn you!
10. Favorite Unstackable Arms & Shoulders Strength Class
09/27/2024 Black Eyed Peas 20 Minute Arms & Shoulders with Tunde Oyeneyin
This class was sneaky – it’s branded as an Arms & Shoulders class, and we all know Tunde is the queen of arms, so of course it might be a bit challenging, but we’re up for it! And of course, we’ll grab some fairly challenging weights, no problem. But wait – Tunde seems to have substituted the class moves from an arms and light weights class into this one – of course, making this almost impossible! Thank God the music is so fantastic and somehow kept us all pumped up enough to get through it – but there could be no stacking of anything that involves arms or shoulders after this!
9. Favorite Unstackable Rock Ride
11/5/2023 60 Minute Rock Ride with Sam Yo
Expecting a nice zen ride from one of the most chill instructors? You’ve selected the wrong ride, for sure. This music for this ride included a lot of hard metal songs, and they seem to have taken Sam out of the zen zone and into a breathless climb. Sam offered no breaks between climbs, so this was a long sixty minutes. We assure you, you won’t be stacking anything after getting through this one!
8. Favorite Unstackable Walk+Run
11/24/2024 45 Minute Walk+Run with Marcel Dinkins
Some walking intervals – those will provide a nice break- or so you would think! This class has no breaks – it is focused solely on hills. Marcel’s coaching gets you through it, but this class is chock full of movement with no breaks – in fact it has 37 non-stop minutes of walk, run, and jog intervals. You’ll be ready for some couch time when this class is over!
7. Favorite Unstackable Power Zone Ride
09/15/2024 60 Minute Power Zone Ride with Christine D’Ercole
Christine can, and will, and does…..give us 60 minutes that keep us working. Check on your friends who took this class, because they might still be lying in a pool of sweat. Our listeners reported that they simply could not keep up with the numbers Christine was calling out. Christine herself said it was the hardest ride she’s ever taught! Who says you can’t get a great workout on a bike that goes nowhere?
6. Favorite Unstackable Full Body Strength Workout
11/28/2024 45 Minute The Feast: Full Body Strength with 6 Instructors
This was a feast of sweat! This Thanksgiving morning class featured all 6 instructors working out throughout, while various pairings of 2 instructors demonstrated the moves. Apparently each instructor donated their favorite “let’s make everyone suffer” movements. So many AMRAPS – and be ready for the last two minutes of constant burpees – you may or may not be able to peel yourself off of the floor at the end.
5. Favorite Unstackable Tabata Ride
02/15/24 30 minute Tabata Ride with Hannah Frankson
Don’t let Hannah’s sweet smile lull you into a false sense that this will be an easy ride. This class includes four sets of intervals – the first with 60/30 length intervals, the second 30/15, and two sets with 20/10 intervals. The longest recovery between sets is only about a minute and a half. The great playlist just might get you through this one, but you won’t be stacking anything afterwards!
4. Favorite Unstackable Legs & Core Strength Class
07/26/2024 45 Minute Legs and Core with Rebecca Kennedy
Rebecca really had her moment in 2024, challenging us with her splits and hypertrophy based strength classes, as well as her floor cardio. This class is in her 3 day split, and it is chock full of basic moves with absolutely amazing results. This class includes all kinds of squats, lunges and deadlifts with an emphasis on using the heaviest weights possible to reach muscle atrophy. The EMOM finisher for this class is a pendulum swing with a single heavy weight. The only stacking you’ll do after this class is to your favorite massage therapist.
3. Favorite Unstackable 2010’s Run
05/02/2024 2010’s Run with Mariana Fernandez
This class was our unstackable class for two weeks in a row. First, it’s 90 minutes. Who would want to stack something after a hard 90 minute run? It’s Mariana’s only 90 minute run, and it has a great, upbeat 2010’s playlist that will move you through 60 movements that include hills and speed intervals. Mariana keeps runners distracted with stories and encouragement, so if you’re going to challenge yourself, this is the perfect class!
2. Favorite Unstackable Scenic Run
90 minute Badwater 135 Scenic Guided Run with Susie Chan
This run, also 90 minutes, is also so challenging yet so fun. Susie guides you along the famous Badwater course and is so encouraging that you might start thinking you’d like to run the real course with her. However, when she points out at one point that she had been running the real course for 37 hours, you might snap back into reality. Remember, though, scenic runs are only available on the Peloton tread and tread+ (so if Santa gifted you a nice new Peloton Tread or Tread+ recently, this can be one of your first runs!)
1. Favorite Unstackable Total Strength Class
11/03/2024 Total Strength 60 Class with Andy Speer
Andy’s Total Strength classes are never easy – but he pointed out that this class is in the top 3 hardest TS60 classes he’s ever done, ‘and he’s done them all’” (We see what you did there, Andy – always the wise guy!!) Andy was even struggling to complete some of the reps – we are betting he would have nominated this as an unstackable class as well!
That’s A Wrap!
We appreciate all of your Top 5 nominations this year – we thank you all for taking classes and giving us your honest and sometimes hilarious opinions on which classes made you melt into a pool of sweat – in a good way.
