Unlock Calm: Your Guide to 15+ Unique Peloton Meditations
Unique Peloton Meditations
If your mind feels scattered lately (and let’s be real, whose doesn’t?), meditation might be the wellness tool you didn’t know you needed. The awesome thing about meditating is that you can do it anywhere—sitting, standing, lying down, walking, running, rowing, even driving. You get the idea. It’s a do-it-anywhere wellness hack—and when you explore uncommon Peloton meditations, it becomes even more accessible and surprisingly fun.
Meditation comes with a long list of benefits, too: it can lower stress and anxiety, sharpen your focus, improve sleep, and even support heart health. But let’s clear something up—it’s not about emptying your mind. In fact, having thoughts pop up is totally normal. Meditation is more about noticing those thoughts without judgment, which can help you stay more grounded, patient, and emotionally balanced.
Not sold yet? Maybe you just haven’t found your kind of meditation. If you’re looking to shake up your routine, Peloton offers a variety of uncommon meditations that go beyond traditional mindfulness practices. We’ve rounded up our favorites in this article.
Meditation: No Rules, Just Practice
Meditation doesn’t require a quiet mind, a still body, or a perfect routine—it’s simply about being present in a way that works for you. If traditional meditation feels intimidating or just doesn’t click, Peloton offers unique meditations that challenge the traditional idea of the practice. Since launching in 2019, the platform has introduced movement-based meditations, music-driven sessions, and even pet-friendly (with your pet, not for your pet) practices. These unique classes, though sometimes overlooked in the library, can help make mindfulness more accessible and enjoyable—no “Ommmmm” required.
Finding Your Perfect Meditation Position
While meditation really can be done anywhere, maybe you do want to try it at home first. If that’s the case and you’re unsure how to sit (or even if you should sit), Aditi Shah offers a 10 minute class called Finding Your Seat to guide you in discovering the most comfortable position for your practice. To our knowledge, this is the only meditation on the platform specifically focused on helping members find their ideal posture—making it a great starting point for beginners or anyone struggling to get comfortable while meditating in the more traditional sense.
Non-Traditional Approaches to Traditional Meditation
Among the many options, these unique Peloton meditations include breathwork techniques and family-friendly sessions perfect for all ages.
Breathwork Techniques
Meditation doesn’t always have to be about sitting in silence to find your Zen. Some meditative practices, like Breathwork, require active participation on your part, such as box breathing, ocean breathing, or even alternating nostrils. Breathwork meditation is great for those struggling with “monkey mind” (when your thoughts are jumping around all over the place), helping to redirect that energy and press the pause button to find inner peace. By focusing your attention on the present moment, it helps regulate your nervous system and encourages relaxation, which can lead to less stress and better focus.
Involving the Whole Family
Teaching your kids how to calm their minds and focus their energy is an invaluable life skill, and it’s never too late to begin. Peloton offers a range of family-friendly meditations led by Ross Rayburn, Kristin McGee, Chelsea Jackson Roberts, Anna Greenberg, and Aditi Shah. While there isn’t a dedicated filter for family meditations, you can easily find them by searching for “Family Meditations.” These 5-10 minute sessions are perfect for all ages and experience levels, making it easy to introduce mindfulness to your whole family and create a shared moment of calm.
Pets Welcome!
When we say the whole family, we really mean the whole family. Peloton offers more than just meditations for you and your kids – they also have a meditation you can enjoy with your pets and this is certainly one of the more unique Peloton meditations. Whether your companion has fur, feathers, scales, or hooves, Nico Sarani’s 10-minute Pet-Friendly Meditation is the perfect way to strengthen the bond with your little buddy or just make you feel even more grateful for their presence in your life.
(Note: This meditation includes reflections on pet loss. If that’s a sensitive topic for you right now, it might be best to save this one for when you’re feeling more ready.)
Artist Series Meditations
It doesn’t happen often, but Peloton does include meditation in the weekly Artist Series from time to time. In the On Demand library, you’ll find meditations set to the music of artists like Timbaland, Hozier, Alanis Morissette, Beyoncé, Max Richter, Alice Coltrane, and RIOPY.
We’ve linked a few in this article, but to find more, simply search for the artist’s name + meditation in the search bar on your Bike, Tread, or Row tablet, or in the Peloton app. These meditations are perfect for music lovers who want a little more beat behind their mindfulness. And, just in case you were wondering, Beyoncé currently holds the record with FIVE meditations in the On Demand library.
Turn Down For…..What?!
This may have been the Artist Series class, and the 2-for-1 class, that no one saw coming. Lil’ Jon, noted Peloton fan, also happens to be very passionate about meditation. During his Artist Series in June of 2024, he took the opportunity to combine both of his passions for a 10 minute meditation with Chelsea Jackson Roberts and it is absolutely one of the most unique Peloton meditations on the platform. Not only does Lil’ Jon join Chelsea for the meditation, but the class is backed by tracks from his album Total Meditation (yes! Lil’ Jon has a meditation album!). Between this meditation, his Club Bangers Ride and his Club Bangers Run, Lil’ Jon is becoming a fixture around the Peloton studios–and we love to see it!
Themed Meditations
Peloton has long led the way in inclusive programming, offering thoughtfully curated classes that honor a wide range of identities, cultures, and causes. From Pride Month and Black History Month to Women’s History Month, AAPI Heritage Month, Latin Heritage Month, Hanukkah, and more, their themed meditations offer powerful moments of reflection and connection.
They’ve also introduced special series that go deeper. Breathe In, Speak Up—led by Chelsea Jackson Roberts—combines meditation and yoga to explore themes like unity, community, and the courage to embrace discomfort in pursuit of change. Another unique meditation series is Year of Yes, also with Chelsea, inspired by Shonda Rhimes’ bestselling book. This series encourages self-empowerment and intentional living through guided reflection.
You can find many of these classes in the Collections tab, but if you’re looking for something specific, just head to the search bar and type in your theme (e.g., “Pride meditation”) to access the content.
The 3AM Witching Hour
If you’ve ever found yourself wide awake at 3AM, staring at the ceiling and wondering why your brain picked now to rehash every awkward moment since 2008, Peloton’s Mid-Night Meditations might be just what you need. These sessions—led by Chelsea Jackson Roberts, Ross Rayburn, and Anna Greenberg—are specially designed to help you ease out of restlessness and back into sleep. With calming techniques like deep breathing and guided visualization, they help quiet the mental chatter and create a peaceful internal environment primed for rest.
Whether it’s stress, overthinking, or an uncooperative circadian rhythm, these meditations are like a soft lullaby for your nervous system. You’ll find yourself gently lulled toward sleep—and hopefully waking up feeling a little more human.
Try these mid-night meditations:
- Chelsea’s Mid-Night Meditation
- Anna’s Mid-Night Meditation #1
- Anna’s Mid-Night Meditation #2
- Ross’s Mid-Night Meditation
Bonus: If you’d rather wind down with a little more flair, don’t miss the 5-minute XOXO, Cody meditation—because who better to end the day with than Boo himself?
Meditation… with LOTS of Instructors
Yes, you read that right—group meditations are a thing on Peloton, and they’re every bit as powerful as they sound. It’s kind of like a meditation party, and everyone’s invited.
Peloton has released multi-instructor meditations around themes like gratitude, peace, and Pride, creating a layered, communal experience that feels both meaningful and memorable.
Sometimes, these meditations are created in response to current world events—times when we need to pause, reflect, and connect as a community. But they aren’t just for that moment in time. The messages of peace, unity, and compassion are evergreen, making these classes powerful tools to revisit throughout the year.

These meditations are a great reminder that even in quiet moments, you’re never alone.
Mood Meditation
Sometimes you’re annoyed, aggravated, peeved—or just straight-up pissed off—and honestly? You don’t need to “calm down” right away. You want to feel it, process it, and maybe even harness it. Peloton gets it.
Ross Rayburn leads a 10-minute Mood Meditation designed for those tougher emotional days. As the class description says, “Some days feel harder than others. This class will provide a space to blow off steam, work through disappointment, and channel power from within.” Whether you’re navigating frustration, heartbreak, or just a case of omg-these-frigging-drivers on your commute, this meditation helps you sit with your feelings and come out the other side stronger.
Take a Little Trip
Need a quick mental vacation? Say no more. In Mariana Fernández’s 10-minute Puerto Rico Meditation, you’ll be gently transported by the soothing sounds of coquí frogs and Mariana’s grounding guidance. It’s a sensory escape that reconnects you to nature and your breath, no plane ticket required.
This class is offered in Spanish—but don’t let that stop you. Even if you don’t speak the language, the tone, pace, and ambient sounds create a deeply relaxing experience. (I stumbled on it by accident because I happen to love visiting Puerto Rico—and it ended up being one of the most calming 10 minutes I’ve had in ages.)
Meditation with Movement
If you like to blend mindfulness with motion, Peloton has you covered with various ways to meditate with movement.
Meditate on the Bike
While Sam Yo isn’t officially part of the meditation team, his recovery rides deliver all the calming vibes you’d expect from a meditative experience. It started with a New Year’s Day Recovery Ride that quickly became a Peloton fan favorite—and now, Sam’s seasonal recovery rides have become a thing. Just search “Sam Yo Recovery Ride” in the library, clip in, and prepare to find your Zen in the saddle.
Meditation on a Walk
Peloton also offers walking meditations—and honestly, what’s better than clearing your head while moving your body and soaking up the outdoors? These classes, led by instructors like Ross, Denis, Chelsea, Kirra, Anna, and Mariana, can be found under the Yoga tab in the Walking Meditations section.
And if you’re up for a little trip in the Peloton time machine, check out an oldie-but-goodie from Chase Tucker. Before Walking Meditations officially existed, Chase led an Outdoor R&B Walk that incorporated grounding techniques—making it surprisingly meditative. This underrated gem walked so today’s Walking Meditations could run, so to speak.
One More Thing…
Yes, meditations absolutely count toward your blue (purple? blurple?) dots, your daily and weekly streaks, and your Annual challenge. Mental wellness is part of total wellness. After all, the body hears what the mind thinks—and not all progress comes from sweat. One important note to keep in mind (no pun intended): meditations labeled Audio Only can only be played on a handheld device—they won’t work on your Bike, Tread, or Row tablet. So, if those are calling your name, make sure you have your phone and the app available.
Whether you’re looking to shake off stress, find focus, or just try something a little different, Peloton’s meditation library has something for every mood, moment, and mindset. From midnight resets to group sessions, from emotional release to imaginary getaways, these unique Peloton meditations prove that mindfulness doesn’t have to be one-size-fits-all. So go ahead—explore, experiment, and maybe even surprise yourself with what works. Your brain will thank you.
