This Week at Peloton: Kettlebells, Core, and Power Zones
Another week, another chance to chase that blue (er… purple?) dot. If you’ve been staring at the schedule wondering where to slot your next workout, you aren’t alone. The lineup this week brings a serious mix of modalities. We have heavy lifting. We have deep stretching. We have the kind of endurance work that makes you question your life choices in the best way possible.
Whether you are looking to crush a PR or just need to stretch out tight hips after a long day in the office chair, the schedule has you covered. Let’s break down what’s dropping on the platform.

Class of the Week: Kettlebell Strength
If you haven’t picked up a kettlebell yet, this is your sign. We are spotlighting a specific drop that deserves your attention.
The Class:
- 30-minute Kettlebell Strength with Jermaine
- When: Tuesday, January 6th
- Time: On Demand at 12 am ET / 5 am GMT
Why You Should Grab the Bell
Kettlebell training is different. It isn’t just about lifting a weight up and down. Because the center of gravity in a kettlebell is offset—unlike a dumbbell where the weight is balanced in your hand—your body has to work harder to stabilize it. This recruits more muscles. It fires up your core. It improves your grip strength significantly.
Working with kettlebells creates dynamic power. It bridges the gap between cardio and strength because you are often moving the weight with momentum and speed. Jermaine is excellent at coaching form here, so if you are new to the bell, you are in safe hands. If you are a pro, go heavier. You won’t regret it.

New Core Stretch
Sometimes the hardest part of the workout is the recovery. We often skip the stretch. We jump off the bike or tread and run straight to the shower. But we know better. Rebecca is here to make sure we actually take care of our midsection properly.
- 10-minute Core Stretch with Rebecca
- Status: Now on Demand
This is perfect for stacking. After a heavy lifting session or a long ride, your core can feel tight and compressed. This ten-minute session is exactly what you need to lengthen those abdominals and release tension in the lower back. It’s short. It’s effective. Add it to your stack today.

New Yoga + Pilates
Friday flows are a staple for many of us. This week, we are getting a fusion class that brings the best of both worlds.
- 20-minute Yoga + Pilates with Johanna
- When: Friday, January 9th
- Time: On Demand at 12 am ET / 5 am GMT
Yoga brings the flexibility and the mindfulness. Pilates brings the deep core activation and precise movement. Put them together, and you get a low-impact burn that feels incredibly productive. Johanna has a way of making twenty minutes feel like a complete reset. This is a great option for an active recovery day or a morning wake-up call before the weekend chaos sets in.

60-Minute Power Zone
Saturdays are for long rides. If you follow the Power Zone training methodology, you know Matt Wilpers is the architect of our suffering and our success. And he’s back from paternity leave!
- 60-minute Power Zone Ride with Matt
- When: Saturday, January 10th
- Time: 8 am ET / 1 pm GMT
An hour in the saddle with Matt is an education. He focuses on pedal stroke efficiency and zone discipline like no one else. This isn’t about sprinting until you burn out. It is about sustained effort. It is about holding those Zones until your legs learn resilience.
Bring your water bottles. Bring your towel. Most importantly, bring your patience. These rides build the engine that powers everything else you do on the bike.
Get Your Stack Ready
The variety this week is solid. You have the dynamic power of kettlebells with Jermaine on Tuesday. You have the recovery focus with Rebecca available right now. You get the fusion of Yoga and Pilates with Johanna to slide into the weekend. And you have the Saturday discipline check with Matt.
Don’t just look at the schedule. Plan your week. Open the app, schedule your sessions, and invite a friend to join you on the leaderboard. We’ll see you there.
