Dr. Jaime Schehr joins Peloton to serve up wellness advice—with a side of sardines and peanut butter?
Crystal Called It (Again)
Peloton nutrition content is here! If you’ve been listening to The Clip Out for any length of time, you’ve heard Crystal talk about this moment for years: Peloton stepping into the world of nutrition. After all, health isn’t just about how hard you ride or how heavy you lift—it’s also about what’s fueling your body. And now, Peloton is finally dishing it up.
Peloton has teamed up with Dr. Jaime Schehr, a licensed naturopathic doctor and registered dietitian with 20 years of experience, to launch official Peloton nutrition content. This new initiative aims to help members better understand how to nourish their bodies, with content rolling out on Peloton’s YouTube channel and Instagram.
Welcome to Peloton Nutrition
Dr. Jaime isn’t just showing up out of the blue—she’s been working behind the scenes with instructors like Rebecca, Cody, Olivia, Jess, Emma, Hannah, and Matt for the past six years, helping them fine-tune how they fuel for performance and recovery. Now, that expertise is stepping into the spotlight with the launch of Peloton Kitchen, a new content series where instructors invite us into the kitchen to share the meals that power their toughest workouts. From weekday staples to pre-ride rituals, it’s a chance to see what really goes on behind the strength, stamina, and smiles.
A Sardine Sandwich and a Side of Fiber
The launch came via two Instagram Reels, including a Q&A hosted by Rebecca Kennedy and Dr. Jaime herself (or “Dr. Jaime,” as she casually goes by in the video). The pair touched on a range of topics, including the importance of prioritizing fiber just like you would other macros.
And, in what might be the most divisive food moment since pineapple on pizza, Dr. Jaime shared a truly shocking instructor food confession: one of our beloved Peloton pros eats sardines and peanut butter on bread. Together. We’re not naming names (yet), but let’s just say… we’re intrigued. Grossed out, but intrigued.
Fuel Up Like Wilpers
To kick things off, Peloton’s YouTube channel dropped its first official nutrition recipe: Matt Wilpers’ Power Zone Oats—full of fiber, healthy fats, and a punch of flavor (don’t worry, no sardines). Packed with 9 grams of fiber from oats, seeds, and fruit—and loaded with healthy fats thanks to chia, flax, and nut butter—it’s the kind of breakfast that keeps you going strong. Bonus? It’s easy to make ahead and grab on the go, whether you’re headed to the gym or hopping on your Bike for a long PZ ride. Here’s how to make it at home:
Matt Wilpers’ Power Zone Oats
Ingredients:
-
1/3 cup steel-cut oats
-
2/3 cup water
-
1 tbsp chia seeds
-
1 sliced banana
-
1 handful blueberries
-
Raisins (to taste)
-
Sprinkle of coconut flakes
-
Ground flax seeds (to taste)
-
1 tbsp nut butter
-
Optional: drizzle of honey
Talk about a breakfast that sticks with you through your Power Zone Training—and beyond.
YouTube on Your Bike? Yes, Really.
Just as Peloton nutrition content launches on YouTube, the platform also made another big move: YouTube is now available in the Entertainment tab on your Bike or Tread. Whether that’s a coincidence or some extremely strategic timing, it makes it easier than ever to incorporate wellness tips into your routine—no phone juggling required.
What’s Next on the Menu?
Peloton’s decision to expand into nutrition feels like a long-awaited evolution of the brand, and we’re thrilled to see it finally taking shape. From macro education to instructor-favorite recipes (please no more sardines, we beg you), the possibilities are endless.
So now we want to hear from you:
Are you excited about Peloton’s new nutrition content? What kind of recipes or tips do you hope they share next?
