welcome to the Clip Out podcast, episode 4 22. This is Crystal O’Keefe, and this is Tom O’Keefe. You know, I just realized that when we did episode four 20, we forgot to get high. Oh, damn. Well, son of a, it’s probably all those times we got high and we forgot. If we weren’t so stoned, we would remember.

To get stoned. Oh, Tom. Oh goodness. Oh, [00:01:00] so I just remember how much anticipation people had for episode 69. It’s true. That was a long time ago. It was a very long time ago. It was a long time ago, and we had a lot, louder crowd. Yeah. Yeah. There were ideas coming in. Yeah. There were all kinds of comments.

Yeah. But, uh, but I guess, I guess we don’t have a lot of potheads ’cause nobody. Was like, oh, I can’t wait for episode four 20. You know, there is a, a whole group called the, I think it’s the pillow stoner group or something like that. I remember talking about that years ago. Yeah. They, they have on occasion tried to, to get me to do things with them.

But the, the thing is, is that I don’t feel. Like, I have no problem. They can do whatever they want. Sure. But I, what I don’t feel comfortable with is being, especially when we have children, like in the, being in a forum where I’m like, Hey, how about this, you know, drug, you should go, how about, how about the weed?

[00:02:00] Yeah. That, that’s, it’s, I’m just not comfortable doing that. So it is fascinating how. The perception on that is shifting though, right? It is. Because like you wouldn’t think twice if like the Pella winos. No, I wouldn’t. You’re right. Which it was also funny because they’re literally named right after a, a, an alcoholic stereotype.

That’s so true. You know, it’s so true. Like if, if it’s not like the weed group is like the P junkies. No they’re not. And that would be the equivalent. It would. It absolutely would. But you know, but there is still just that like, I don’t know about this. Well, and I just, it’s like, it’s like my personal thing.

It’s. It’s like how some people cannot stand that we have always cussed around our children. Yeah. Like it really upsets people and to me it’s just a really silly thing. It doesn’t bother me at all. But you want ’em to cuss properly. Exactly. You don’t want ’em to feel like, you want ’em to know wh like, [00:03:00]which version of fuck to yours, you know?

Yeah. But you want to running around being like, what the shit I know. What? No, that’s not how we fucking talk. Exactly. What the fuck is wrong with you? There you go. Yeah. And there’s, there’s like grammatical rules associated with that. Yeah. You know, I mean, completely made up but we follow them nonetheless.

All grammatical rules are completely up. Completely made up. Made up. That is true. But at any rate, I just wanna say for anybody out there who might be part of that group and is like, uh, are you kidding? Like, it’s not that big of a deal. I totally agree. And I know that it’s just my thing. Like it’s just a weird thing that I have a line on and yeah.

We voted to legalize it. Yeah, absolutely. We’re just not not using it. Absolutely right. We just figured we should vote to legalize it, so it’ll probably save us on bail money. So.

Kids. I know. Ah, so, uh, what Pray tell do you have in store for people this week? Oh, drugs weren’t enough. Um, a bottomless [00:04:00] bet. Oh, well we are gonna talk about this, this brand new partnership the Peloton has with High Rocks that we totally called you. Totally called. Okay. It was all me. Yeah. But just like a couple weeks ago.

It’s so funny. And we have a really neat article that one of our helper bees wrote about. Peloton instructors and how they use social media mm-hmm. To engage with members. Also, uh, we have this fun update about Peloton adding a new age-based category due to, it was inspired by a very special Peloton member.

We’re gonna talk about that. We’re gonna talk about how much Peloton has spent on lobbying in the last year and what they’ve been lobbying for. Um, we’re also gonna talk about the Member Mondays that PSNY has added. And also what PS. L There you go. I, I almost say you was PSUK Psk P suck. That’s probably why they went with L.

It is, [00:05:00] um, uh, the, what they are going to be doing with a upcoming festival. Not to mention, we have several instructors in the news who has most recently completed their Pilates in certification. Who has the newest book this week? Who went to a rock? Concert and got a hug from one of my favorite bands. And then who is who, which instructors have teamed up to talk not only fitness, but psychology.

You may be surprised to find out. Okay, well, before we get to all that shameless plugs, don’t forget we’re available on Apple Podcast, Spotify, iHeart. Tune in wherever you find a podcast. You can find us. While you are there, be sure to follow us so you never miss an episode. Maybe leave us a review. You can also, if you would like to support the show above and beyond, merely loaning us your ears for an hour a week, which we do appreciate, which we greatly appreciate.

But we also greatly appreciate money. We have Patreon, patreon.com/. Real spoilers. Oh geez. That is the [00:06:00] wrong show. That is the wrong one. Although they also need money. Are we kidding? Patreon.com, they don’t do as many articles. They do not slash the clip out. Where for five bucks it’s only $5.

It’s only five bucks. Uh, five bucks a month. Uh, you get ad free episodes. You get early episodes last week it was not as early as it should have been, and that was my fault. I was like, that’s on you, man. That was my fault. I had it done. We were sitting waiting for Superman to start. No, I know what you did last summer to start.

And uh, and I was like. Oh shit. So now I’m trying to do it on my phone, which you did pull off, which I did pull off, which is amazing. Which is saying something because the, uh, the wifi super spotty at the movie theater at at a MC theaters is. Dog shit. It is. It’s so bad. It is. Um, but I managed to pull it off.

Thank God they added 10 extra minutes of trailers. So you had plenty of time. It gave me lots of time to finish that project, so. Yeah. But but [00:07:00] anyway, and, and we got to watch Nicole Kidman for the eighth millionth time. Yeah. Like, oh my God, when are we ending that? Let it go. Really? And it’s like, pretty soon it’s not even gonna look like her anymore ’cause she’s had like three more face surgeries.

Absolutely. But, anyway, you also get bonus content every week. We record an extra 25, 30 minutes, uh, of content stuff. We didn’t have time to get to in the show proper. That’s just for you. It’s so, it’s it’s a great way to support the show. There’s obviously a lot of costs attached to stuff like this, and so between the web hosting and the article writing and the, the, whatever the magic is that pushes this into your phone every week, that’s, that all costs money.

So, uh, if you have the means. We greatly appreciate it. So, um, you can also watch all of these over at YouTube, youtube.com/the clip out, and of course, sign up for our newsletter over@theclipout.com. We’ll send you the links and whatnot. So, there’s all that. Let’s, uh, let’s dig in. Shall we? We shall.

Shameless plugs part two. [00:08:00] I forgot to tease what was gonna be in the Patreon. What’s gonna be in the Patreon? I don’t know. Oh, no. We’re gonna talk about, uh, a new study that talks about a food that they think lessens.

Yeah. The likelihood of Alzheimer’s. Well, I need that. Yes. And so also, which instructor was getting in on the cold play fun Or should we say a astronomer CEO fund? No, probably cold play fun. No, I think cold play because cold play was having fun. I don’t think the CEO is having too much fun. Well, CO is having fun this week.

And also we talk about the new, uh, boost your base. Is it a program? A class? It is a program. Well, it’s a program turned collection, which is part of what we’re gonna talk about. Oh dear. I’m so confused. I know. So anyway, that’ll all be going on over in the Patreon, so, okay. We played the fancy sweeper in the news Peloton.

Okay. Peloton is partnering. With ROCs. You were shocked when you saw this and I said, but Crystal, I’ve been [00:09:00] saying for months now that I think Peloton and ROCs have something in the work, and you said, and I quote haw, I was. Pasha wow. Wow. Yeah, it’s amazing. You can say that with a straight face. It really is.

It, it truly is. But um, yeah, so it was just a couple of weeks ago that we posted our episode where we had, for the first time in a long time, an interview with past guest and, uh, she’s been on three times. Yeah. Chrissy, uh, Blackwood. She is now a High Rocks competitor. She’s, I think, our only trifecta. She’s.

Adding that to her LinkedIn. I bet. Well, I think Erica McLean, our tarot card reader. Okay. But that’s like a pseudo segment. Okay. Fair. Less of an less interview. That’s fair. That’s fair. You know what I’m saying? I do, yeah, I do. All alright. Um, but Chrissy is now using High Rock. She also uses Tonal and she uses of course, still Peloton.

Yeah. So we were like, okay, explain to us what exactly High [00:10:00] Rocks is. You went into all the details. It’s part of Pello Stoner group. Okay. And she, we also touch base on the fact that like, there are so many instructors that have started using this, especially in the last year, which is what started tipping you off.

Like, it’s just like, it was like every, it started with Robin and then every 10 seconds it was like a new one. There was another instructor that’s like, Hey, I think I’m just gonna check this thing out over here. Yeah. Nothing to see here. Yeah, exactly. And you were like, there is something to see here. I did say that.

Said that, and then you push on me. Right, right, right. Yeah. Uh, so this week, Peloton announced. Indeed there is a new partnership and Peloton has been named an official digital training partner of High Rocks. Uh, so Peloton, in short for now, has created a collection of classes. So there are some that are running classes, there’s strength classes, there’s biking classes that are structured specifically to help you prepare for high rocks.

Right. I thought it was interesting. [00:11:00] That. Because remember I also noted a couple of weeks ago that the free mode classes were back. Well, you know how there’s sled pushing and pulling Ah-huh. Look at that. And they have now been added to the High Rocks collection. See, all these things mean stuff.

Yeah. Um, and that’s why I’m always going on and on about it. Uh, that is one of my favorite parts about Peloton is putting the pieces together in a puzzle. Not because I hacked their internet site to scrape it, but like to actually like, see the things they’re doing and have a, you know, like. An educated guess.

Right, based on what they’ve done in the past. That’s one of my favorite things about this. See, connections. Make relations. Yeah. Yes, yes, for sure. Um, so they so far have not created new classes. I feel like people need to know that what they’ve done is they’ve taken existing classes, put them in the collection, but there is more to come.

Oh. So that’s pretty exciting. They, um, high Rocks also added a new city to the, the US This year it is, Boston just got added. I believe it’s pronounced. Baston. Oh, okay. Okay. Thank you. [00:12:00] And uh, so now that will be another fun place for the Peloton instructor to speak. It’s close enough to New York that they can.

They can go there as well. That’s true. That’s an easy jaunt. It is for them. It is. There’s still no high rocks locations in the Midwest. Like there are gyms, but there Oh, gyms. Yeah. But there aren’t competitions. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so will Peloton be releasing a sled for you to push? No, I think that’s free mode, just in time for Christmas.

That’s free mode. That’s free mode on your tread because Santa has a sled. Okay. That’s what I was doing there. I see, I see. Yeah, no, but you can start doing burpees. Well, I don’t think you need Peloton for that. Exactly. You don’t wanna use Peloton equipment. So I also don’t wanna do burpees, so I don’t either.

Yeah, I don’t either. 80 meters of it and it’s, it’s a burpee broad jump. It’s not even a regular burpee. It’s a burpee broad. And then you gotta 80 meters and the further you jump, the less burpees you [00:13:00]have to do. Oh no, thank you. Yeah, moving right along. We, I’m really excited about this. I think it’s fun. So, yeah, I know for sure and it’s nice to see Peloton piggybacking what’s becoming a new, very popular trend.

It’s, and it’s smart. Yeah, it’s smart on Pelotons part as well. Yeah. Sorry. So, uh, we had an article this week over@theclipout.com, all about how Peloton instructors. Use social media to build, communicate. Mm, we did. We did. And this is a really fun article because the gist of the article was like, look at all these different instructors and the types of things that they are posting on Instagram to get your attention.

This was done by helper be Elizabeth. Mm-hmm. And so, for example, um, she talked about like Andy Spear, he does the stories of strength and he will. Ask people to submit their stories and then he picks his favorite one and then he talks about it. Yeah. And makes it into an Instagram live. That’s a lot of fun.

But there are all kinds of [00:14:00] different ways that instructors do it. We’re gonna talk later about how Ash has a new class type that she’s doing, like one of her special classes. Mm-hmm. And it’s called Love Letter Classes and she is. Okay. Asking people for stories about them and then she will highlight members and it’s kind of like a little love letter to that person.

Dear Ash, I was at a Coldplay concert, don’t Tell my wife. Dennis Morton has, uh, started posting Tuesday tunes and he goes into a deep dive on different albums. And then those are just kind of the top ones, but we also asked. The community at large, like who were your favorites? Some of the ones we did not have on the list that came up were Kelly Gullickson.

And gosh, there was one that like really stood out to me ’cause it came up a few times and I’m totally blinking on it. But Kelly was one of ’em. Robin was one of them. Um, because she always has so many motivating things. Yeah. And well, she does a lot of hurt. [00:15:00] Cooking videos now she does. Yeah.

Yeah, absolutely. Christine. Kara, Michelle. Anna, Anna Greenberg. Uh, and of course, um, this was fun for me. Kristin McGee chimed in and said how much she loved this. And she still has her Tuesday tips that she started while she was a Peloton instructor. Yeah. And still does today. So she got a, after the fact, honorable mention, gone but not forgotten.

Absolutely not forgotten. Love Kristen. And uh, it’s, you know, we’re into July, so someday real soon we’re gonna be hearing what’s up for her next, but that’s a whole nother story. Yes. I went down a rabbit hole. That’s okay. Within a rabbit hole. That’s, you get it from me. I know. So Peloton has added age-based categories and this is awesome.

It’s thanks to a 91-year-old Peloton member. Now they’ve had age-based categories. Yeah, I know you don’t know that ’cause you don’t get on the Peloton and you can’t see, and I’m so young. Of course. Of course. I’m so, so young. You might remember this from [00:16:00] so many years ago when I was not yet 40. And there was the group that was called Fit Fab 40 uhhuh.

Do you remember that? Uhhuh? I do. That group still exists by the way. And they asked you to join and you got I was not 40. And you got kind of teary about it a little bit. Yeah. And um, they, so on the leaderboard, they do break it down by like what? Decade you’re in. Mm-hmm. So forties, fifties, et cetera. Right.

Well, they didn’t have nineties, and so this lovely lady who is 91 years old reached out to Peloton. Her name is Dottie Dorian. She has ridden her Peloton bike. 2,900 times. Nice. And, uh, she saw that the age categories topped out at 60 plus and she was like, no, no. Yeah. Uh, and so after a 14 month campaign that involved not only lawyers, but also letters, lawyers.

I know. Holy cow. I know Dottie don’t mess around. She does not. Yeah. Well, you know, you, there’s only so much time when [00:17:00] you’re 91. Yeah, that’s fair. You need to be efficient. You know, and, uh, so now they have eighties and nineties and seventies, and Dottie is. I would like to say to blame, but that sounds negative credit.

She is credited. Yes. Um, well, Dottie, I look forward to you suing them again in nine years. You get ’em Dottie when you’re like, where’s the category for a hundred plus? And I have to say, she is so inspiring because she has. She has completed 250 marathons and triathlons. She’s done three Ironmans and she did her first Ironman in 1985.

At the age of 52, she only learned to swim for that event. That’s when she learned to swim. Nice. She’s a badass. Yeah, absolutely. Dottie is a badass and she’s lawyered up. So even if you don’t think she’s a badass, don’t mess with, but Dotie, you better say [00:18:00] she’s a badass because she’s coming for you.

So we had an interesting article this week Pop up. About Peloton and lobbying and how much they’re spending. So I saw a conflicting article. Oh, really? So I swapped out the article that you sent me a link and it was worthless, so I got rid of it. Oh, okay. I just got, it was a dead page when I clicked on it.

Oh, that is worthless. Yeah. Yeah. It wasn’t dead last week. I’m sure it wasn’t. But, uh, but since then it has died. Okay. And so, uh, so I, I went to my Google machine and found a different link. So this one’s from nasdaq.com. That seems reliable. Absolutely. And, but I saw conflicting reports ’cause I saw. Some articles that said that they had spent $90,000 mm-hmm.

On lobbying, and then I saw other articles. This one in particular says they spent $50,000. Wow. Where they got a, they got a refund. I don’t think we got a refund. I think what happened is it says $50,000 [00:19:00] of their spending was disclosed. So this article says we know what $50,000 was. Okay. We don’t know what the rest of it was.

Gotcha, gotcha. So I think the original amount. Might be correct. So the 50,000 was for lobbying and the other 40 was probably for like a Coke party. I was thinking it was still lobbying, but we didn’t have the details behind what it was lobbying. Well, no, it’s, it’s still lobbying. Okay. But they were providing a Coke party for the politicians.

I see. As opposed to Pepsi. Of course. What you meant? No, I meant C cocaine. Oh, cocaine. Cocaine. We’re all about the drugs this week. You’ve been watching too much. New girl. It’s the cocaine. The cocaine, yeah. Well, that’s how you get the politicians to do what they want. Because, I mean, you can’t do sex islands anymore, so No, that’s, that’s legal.

They don’t even have to try to hide that shit, so now it’s just, it’s just the coke. So, but yeah, they said they spend $50,000 on lobbying, which honestly, in the grand scheme of things, of lobbying isn’t really all that much. So my guess is they’re probably [00:20:00] like banding together with other people. And lo who are lobbying on similar issues and Yeah, like in a group like, um, like to be more powerful.

Yeah. Like putting their money all together. It makes total sense. And then they put it in an envelopes and they slide it to ’em. They’re like, here you go. That’s how that works. But it’s So do we know specifically what they were lobbying for? Yes. It literally says, uh, I know I was, that was a segue I was setting you up to answer.

Oh, thanks. I know the answer. But see the way a little behind the scenes, normally we do this on the Patreon behind the scenes, I’m just like. I’m feeding you the question. I see. So you can feed me the answer. ’cause the, the, the shtick is that I’m dumb and I don’t know what I’m talking about and you know, all the things.

Okay. And so, here we go. Let us, we’ll cut all that out. That’ll all go away. I have no doubt. We’ll do this again. Hey, do we know what they’re, what they’re spending the money on? Why? Sure. Tom. I’ve got a list right here. You always know things. You’re so no full lobbying in support of legislation, allowing American taxpayers a [00:21:00] medical care tax deduction for up to a thousand dollars.

This bill was recently reintroduced as the. Fit Act, PHIT. And it had elements that were included in the HR one, the one big beautiful bill. Oh, hooray. Lobbying in support of legislation, allowing American taxpayers a medical care tax deduction for up to a thousand dollars. So you can write off your.

Your bike, basically. Yeah. And then, um, there was also a medical care tax deduction for up to a thousand of qualified sports and fitness expenses. So may not necessarily be Peloton, but still doing things right. You know? Right. Like maybe if you got involved with the High Rocks, you could go ahead and deduct to that expense.

I see. I don’t know that that’s true. I’m just throwing it out there. I hear people talk sometimes that like you can use your HSA account. That’s true. You to pay for a Peloton. Yeah. A bike or a truck. Yeah, absolutely. If it, you can, if it, you know, has to fall under certain rules and things like [00:22:00] that. But yes, this is not, uh, tax advice.

Definitely not, definitely not. Um, they also pointed out in this article that there were several, um, executives that had. Made zero purchases and sold a lot this year. And I saw that. And so they were saying, some people are saying, Ooh, that’s scary. Some people are saying, oh, that’s great. Well, I, I know one of them in particular.

Mm-hmm. Um, has been in the company forever. Mm-hmm. And so like, I kind of took it as probably just, it was like, I wanna. Buy a house or, you know what I mean, that it’s like they probably just needed a cash infusion and they have all these stock options. Yeah. So rather than dipping into their savings, they sold some stock.

Absolutely. So, yeah. And a lot of them the one that I’m thinking of was, is, was a significant amount of money but it’s also over five different years that, that has been sold. Oh, was, I did not see that part. Yeah. Yeah. So like that’s, yeah. And a lot of ’em were like. 150 grand or 300 grand, which I [00:23:00]mean is not nothing.

I’m not trying to be like, oh, we shit money. Who cares? But like, that is kinda like somebody maybe needed a down payment on a house or something, is kind of kids going to college. Right. You know, there’s all kinds, there’s all kinds of reasons. Yeah. That you might wanna do that. Yeah. Who knows? It’s their business.

It didn’t look like anybody was like dumping. No. So, no. So calm down. You calm down. Yeah. So moving right along. All righty. PSNY has added Member Mondays. Yeah. And we’ve talked about this before, but for the first time, Peloton has listed out a list. So, they’re gonna be closed several times this summer.

Mm-hmm. As part of those closures, what they’re doing in the summertime, as every Monday starting July 21st, they’re gonna be celebrating. Member groups, specific Peloton member groups. Okay. And they get to have like a special class, and then the instructors are gonna shout them out and it’ll be lots of fun.

So Monday, July 21st is hardcore hard. Hardcore, hardcore on the floor. We’ve been watching a lot of documentaries about [00:24:00] Minnesota, apparently hardcore on the floor. Don’t you know, don’t you? Sorry. Uh, and then on Monday, July 28th, Peloton, moms August 4th positive Peloton Group on the 11th, Peloton. Dads on the 18th, Pella, Latinos, and on the 25th Black girl Magic.

Awesome. So those are all the ones coming up this summer. We will see if they continue into, you know, the fall. Right. That’d be fun if they did. Yeah. Very cool. Peloton uk. Mm-hmm. Is bringing flow space to the Wilderness Music Festival. They are, yeah. So Audi presents Wilderness Oxford Shire uk. It happens between July 31st.

And August 3rd. And there are going to be a lot of instructors because several of the US instructors are there too. It’s, and it looks like almost everybody from PSL is there. Absolutely. So I mean it like the list just goes on and on. Well, we’ve got Ben Aldis, Susie Chan, Jermaine Johnson, Leanne Haynes, [00:25:00] be Aldis, Sam, yo, John Hosing, Hannah Franken, Emma Lovewell, and Becks Gentry.

That’s a big list. Yeah. Especially. If, uh, you have not had the opportunity to come over to the US and you live over in the yuck, that’s great. Yeah. Um, and they’re gonna have, they’re gonna have different classes. There’s a huge variety. We’ve got bar strength, hiking, Pilates, shadow boxing, power walking, and they’re gonna be part of panel talks as well.

Uh, and then they’ve got a whole list of these different classes, which I’m not gonna go through because I won’t be there. And, it’s a really long list, but it’s great that they’re, they’re being part of this. I have a new theory. Okay. My theory is they’re partnering with Audi studio closures equal Peloton instructor appearances.

Oh, that makes sense. They’re gonna use this time to like send them to all the places. Put them out in the wild. Yes. No pun intended. I see what you did there. That’s his wilderness. And I think this is an EDM [00:26:00] festival. Oh, that makes sense. Because I recognized none of the names and like 30% of them had DJ after it.

Okay, that makes sense. Yeah. So that tracks and I’m just like, well that sounds awful. I mean, hey, if you like it, great, but like it’s just not your jam. Dear God. You like. Now, if that was nineties rock Amen. You would be there. Or like the Ozzie. Farewell concert. Aw, I’d have been all about that. I’m so sad he passed away.

Yeah, I, it’s like him and Theo Huxtable in the same week. I know. I am just suddenly feeling so old, like we have now officially reached the age where like the next generation, they’re here and we are no longer relevant in any way, shape, or form. And it makes me sad. I wasn’t really relevant. Back when my generation was relevant.

Listen, I didn’t mean me specifically, or you specifically, I meant collectively as a generation, collectively, we are no longer at all important. Yeah. You know, it’s sad. Gen X had just a little blip. Yeah. For about four years. Yeah. [00:27:00] We were like, what about flannel? Yeah. And then, and then everybody moved on.

That’s that. Yeah. Yeah. That was high school for me. Might have been a little later for you. It was college, but I wasn’t college for a long time. I always, I always think about the line from Tommy Boy where Chris Farley is like, a lot of people go to college for eight years and David Spade is like, yeah, they’re called doctors.

Well, coming up after this, we got instructors in the news. We’re gonna tell you about which instructor has completed Pilates certification and what that might or might not mean for your Peloton future. Also, who’s working on a new book and who went to see a rock show. So stick around,

Ash Pryor has completed her Pilates certification. She sure has. Uh, she talked about this recently on a podcast that she [00:28:00] was on, and we were super exci. She was on Hurdle podcast, which many of the Peloton instructors have been part of.

Yeah. And she was talking about like all the different ways she appreciates her own body, how it’s helped her accomplish so many amazing things. And just happened to drop real on the DL that like, oh yeah. I also just, you know. I went ahead and finished my Pilates certification, but. This caught our eye over at TCO because we have an ongoing conversation that just never dies about all of the things Peloton related.

Oh, I have no doubt. Yeah. That’s why I’m muted the slack. I know. Every once in a while you just walk in, drop a dick joke and walk back out. Yes. Yes, I do. Anyway, you’re welcome. Um. My point being though, we have been saying collectively like she has been doing so much Pilates content, we would love to see her on the Pilates pla or on the Peloton platform doing Pilates.

Right? So [00:29:00] when we saw this, we couldn’t help but wonder, will she be the next Peloton Pilates instructor? Boy, it seems like that’s what that’s leading to that they were like, well, we’re not gonna make it official until you actually have. Check the box that you have the knowledge. ’cause they, they don’t want to get themselves.

Well, here’s hoping because people have been asking for a very long time for Ash to have something, but that she has on the platform besides rowing. Yeah. Uh, they love her as a rowing instructor, but a lot of people don’t have a row. Right. So in the world of Peloton Row is pretty niche. Mm-hmm. Like not.

It. You know, not a lot of people ha, even if not only don’t have a Peloton row, but a lot of people don’t have a rower at all. Exactly. And it’s not something like running. You can go outside and do mm-hmm. You can’t do that with rowing unless you live on a lake or something. Yeah. I mean, might be lucky in that way, but most of us cannot.

Well, here’s hoping. We are excited and we will see very soon. I think so. Robin Arza appears [00:30:00]to be teasing. A new book. Definitely not teasing. It is flat out. This is the book she’s been talking about and well, the video she posted, she’s like, I’m announcing, and then the video stops. There’s another post which I’m sorry, I thought this had both, um Oh, okay.

There’s another post that she did where she’s like literally holding up the book. Oh, okay. This, that is not the video that you sent me. Um, I don’t know where the other one came from. Like, I don’t know if it was in her story and it was just like a screenshot. Yeah. Or, you know what but she, and she’s talked about before that she’s coming out.

’cause we, we thought that was gonna happen and then she officially announced it. Now she has announcing that you can pre-order the book. So it’s Gotcha. That’s what this announcement was about. Okay. So it’s official. It’s happening and that’s pretty exciting. A cookbook from Robin. How to, I think it’s like, how to feed hustlers or, I don’t know, something like that.

Something about hustling and eating. Okay. So it, it worked in the, it like it was a good title. Like, just to be [00:31:00] clear, hustlers gotta eat something like that. Yeah. So, uh, Logan Aldridge posted on the ig, his attendance at the Bush Shinedown show. Yeah. And, okay, so just a little tiny tidbit. He did have. A lady unidentified on his arm.

I don’t know if sister, his cousin, his aunt, his girlfriend, right. We don’t know. Random stranger caught up. Maybe he met her in the crowd. In a moment of Gavin Rossdale adulation. Speaking of witch. Yes. He got to hug Kevin Rossdale. I think that was probably a, a different experience for him than it would’ve been for you.

Probably, but he got to hug Gavin Rossdale. I remember years ago, ’cause I worked in alternative rock radio in the nineties, so, so I was around a lot of these people. Did you get to meet Gavin? I never met [00:32:00] Gavin Rossdale, but I remember. He bush played a point fest. Yes. And on that same point, fest, no doubt, played.

And remember the next day in the office, everybody was like, Gavin Rossdale sticking it to that Gwen St. And then you found out two days later he was, yeah, they were like, Hey, seem awfully friendly. I mean, I don’t think they, I don’t think they are so friendly anymore. Oh no. But, uh, no, those days are over at the time, but they were such a cute couple.

Yeah. Like I was so rooting for them because like both of them had these amazing musical careers. Yeah. And they were both such powerhouses and it was just like, just, you know, it’s one of those like couples you’re just like, oh, I hope they make it. Yeah. You. They didn’t. They did not. They did not. Yeah. I think it’s got the, I just can’t even imagine the stress whenever you’re working at that level to have a relationship period.

But then like if you try to have a relationship with a quote unquote normal person that has its own issues, right? And then if you have a [00:33:00] relationship with somebody else in the music business, like you know how competitive we are about nothing. Can you imagine? If we put out separate records, that’s why like, you’re like, yes, your podcast is way more popular than mine, but at least you let me tag along on your podcast.

This is our podcast. So, um, but if it was like you had a podcast and I had a podcast and we did not have a podcast together, that would be intense. I don’t think that would be good for our marriage. Well, I think it’d be okay ’cause we, we cover wildly different topics. True, true. So anyway. Yes. So, but anyway, Logan got to hug Gavin Rossdale.

That’s the point. Yes. That’s the takeaway. So Charlotte Weidenbach and Mya, we kind mm-hmm. I have to say those both very slowly. Yes. Had a post where they’re talking about quote unquote laziness and what is laziness and what is. The maybe [00:34:00] underlying causes for you not completing things you want to do, that’s not always laziness.

Well, the reason that this is actually so fascinating is because there’s been two of these, they have a new series. Mm-hmm. And the series is called Psychology Meets Medicine. But they are talking about anything that touches those topics. Right. So laziness specifically, they’re looking at it from the perspective of, you know, what makes athletes.

Driven. Mm-hmm. What makes them not driven? What makes them rebel against exercise, but also what’s fascinating here is we have Mela. Who’s a, she’s got a degree in psychology. She’s got a master’s degree in psychology. Right. Which I didn’t even realize. Like she just like low key, just threw that out there.

Yeah. Yeah. Surprise. Yeah. I’m really smart. Yeah, exactly. It’s not that I didn’t think she was smart, but um, but you didn’t think she was really smart. And then you have, uh, you have Charlotte Weidenbach [00:35:00] who is. A doctor, like she studied medicine right in Berlin and she received her degree in 2021. So what’s fun about this is to take.

A medical background, a psychology background, but both of them are Peloton instructors. And then watch them put that together. Yeah. And instead of, sometimes on social media, there’s a few instructors who go into the quote unquote mental health space and they think that they’re like this amazing.

You know, know it all about it, right? And it’s all about them. But in this case, you are getting like really high quality thought process and analy an analysis about how you approach the different aspects of psychology and medicine and from people who have studied it and learned it. And they do work out.

So you, from science school and they teach you to work out. So they’re understanding these things, not only as they teach, but they’re helping. They’re now taking [00:36:00] those awesome backgrounds and putting them together into a series to then say. Here, Peloton members, here’s some things that you can use to next time you get on the bike or next time you get on the tread or row or whatever.

And I, I think this is so cool, and that’s what I’m excited about. And all you have to do is learn German. I don’t think that is true. Well, the clip was in German. Okay. But I don’t think that you can, there are so many ways that you can use the internet. To get the information. The first week they talked all about behavioral activation and a couple of highlights about that.

Identifying and scheduling enjoyable value-based activities, overcoming avoidance and inactivity, gradually reconnecting with sources of pleasure, achievement, and social support. So. I’m just saying we’ve got it all broken down Okay. In our article in English, and I think that if you just go to a little Google and you, [00:37:00] you dump the Instagram.

In there, you’re gonna be able to get it nicely transcribed. I thought it was interesting that the, in the video they were speaking in German, but the But all the captions, the captions were in English. Yes. And there are lots of amazing programs that’ll let you do that. So they probably have a German version and an English version and bless them for taking the time to post both.

Absolutely. Kirsten Ferguson interviewed the w. NBA’s, Alyssa Thomas and I see here that I wrote WBNA. Oh, you sure did. So I think that might be my fault. Uh, no, it was not. Okay. I, well, I was gonna take one for the team now. Okay. Well, she had a whole weekend with the WNBA. Yeah. And this was one of many highlights that came from it.

And this is yet another. Crossover we’re seeing, you know, pelotons had this partnership with WNBA for at least a year, maybe we were in the second year at [00:38:00] this point. Um, so it’s nice to see that we’re continuing to get content and highlights for people who enjoy the basketball.

So the latest artist series, I’m putting artist series in air quotes, except people on YouTube know that I didn’t actually use air quotes, but in my heart I did. Okay. Because it’s not technically, it’s a collection. There’s a new Disney collection. Okay. There’s a new collection by Disney. Okay. There. Are you happy?

I guess this was interesting to me because it wasn’t just. Disney. Like it didn’t just say like, here’s a Disney collection. Right, right. It’s, it’s a flashback Disney. So it appears to be some kind of like focus on the two thousands specifically. I’m sorry. They call it throwback. Ah. And uh, so that makes sense.

Throwback is like early two thousands where flashback mm-hmm. Would be like. The fifties and sixties. [00:39:00] Okay. I don’t know. Yeah, that seems like a good way to differentiate a mo. Yeah, well, uh, they’re saying that it’s the Disney two thousands. And I didn’t know we had a, like, I didn’t know Disney had a throwback era.

I didn’t know that, but apparently they do. So Callie, Cody, Marcel, uh, John, Sam, just king, and, uh, they’re all in there. They’ve all got. Classes that are in this collection now that’s, there are tons more Disney classes. This is only for Disney plus throwback. Okay. Lots of. Hannah Montana or something? Sure. I don’t actually know this.

I don’t know this, this genre. Subra The Sphera. I don’t know anything about it. So while we’re talking artist series, we should also point out that the artist series collections are getting a new look. They are, yeah. Now all artist series, first of all, the collection for all artist series, which is ginormous.

There’s six, 1600 classes in there. Whoa. [00:40:00] Yeah. They all have what looks to be a record on the cover. Mm-hmm. Um, in like an old school album, which is now new school because kids have albums. Kids like the Vinyl ’cause they. They like things to be troubling. They like things to be difficult. They do? Yeah. And more expensive.

Like stupid expensive. Yes. We’ve made all music available on the internet, so now I can only go and buy this album in person and I have to spend $40 on it. Even though your generation bought the exact same album for four. That’s so stupid. I don’t get it so stupid. As someone who collected records back in the day, I was glad to see them go.

Yeah. You know, whatever makes ’em happy. Yeah. But, uh, so that it’s got this like record look to it and that is the new cover. But also every time they are now posting about artist series going forward, you will have that graphic kind of somewhere in the vicinity. Like it’s their new image for it. Gotcha.

It’s getting a rebrand. Okay. [00:41:00] Coming up after this, we’re gonna talk content. There’s so many classes, which one should uh, be on your radar? We will tell you after this.

It is time for the TCO top five.

You told us your favorite classes and now we have ranked them, and we will tell you if you are right. Number one, your favorite. 60 minute ride. Okay, so let me just say, all of the classes this week that came in were rides. Every single one of ’em. Okay. So just like when you’re thinking about that, I can say ride instead of class.

Yes. I finally taught myself to stop saying ride and now you’re back. And now I can say ride again and Oh goodness. But people were really excited about Samuel’s 60 minute Rock White ride that dropped this week. It was from the 20th of July. Um, it was sent, Karen Binley is the one that, uh, nominated the ride and she said.

That Sam is an artist at designing classes that challenges our [00:42:00] fitness and then matching it perfectly to planned and orchestrated music. The rock music was centered on the seventies and eighties and then built as the class progressed. 60 minutes flew by with three shorter classes embedded in the 60 minutes each with a separate theme and purpose.

How cool is that? Yeah. Uh, number two, your favorite live ride. This was taught by Olivia Amato on July 13th. It was a 30 minute pop ride. And Oliver Long submitted this. He said it was really fun to see Olivia riding in London, and she did not hold back from her style of pushing you to get the best out of your workout.

Olivia described this as a love island. Theme ride with a perfect mix of summer pop anthems and a brutal smattering of cadence and resist is resistance pushes how? Okay. Oliver goes on to say, has this middle aged dad of two watched Love Island before? No. Will he be watching it now also? No, [00:43:00] but this was an awesome class and Olivia made it so much fun.

I’m with you, Oliver. It’s nice to know that you don’t need to watch Love Island to get it. Yeah, definitely. Like you can still enjoy the class with that. That’s really nice to know. Yeah. Your favorite 30 minute ride. Cody taught this. It was a 30 minute, nineties ride from July 21st, and Katie Bromley loved it.

She said, uh, it was reminiscent of, she said it was reminiscent of when Cody appeared to enjoy teaching No Shade. I love Cody. It was challenging and fun all at the same time. Would highly recommend popping in this class when you’ve got a little bit of. When you’ve got a bit of extra energy. In other words, for those of you who long for the more sarcastic shade, throwing coda of Cody of the days of your, this is your class.

Okay? Uh, number four, your favorite. Hit training ride. CVV. Uh, he taught this class back in June. It was June 9th. It was a pro cyclist hit training ride. Spart Hawk, uh, nominated this ride and he did it as [00:44:00] part one ride three of Team Wilber’s Summer Sprint Challenge. He said, you have to stay in control in this 45 minute ride and Christian lets you off the leash into a controlled panic.

And finally your unst stackable. It comes courtesy of. Christine DeLee. It does, and Karen Maik dug this ride outta the archives. It was from February 7th, 2021, and it has inclines at higher cadences. 60 minutes, she says. I may have sworn a time or two, but I did end up with my highest output ever in a 60 minute class.

Definitely pushed me to my limits.

Taking a look at this week in Peloton, we’ve got. Armada music highlights? We do. And, uh, you might remember that Armada has a partnership with Peloton. They have been doing a lot of live DJ classes, especially in London, but they have done a few in New York. Mm-hmm. And, uh, this specific week we have a 30 minute live DJ flow, uh, that’s going to be taking place with a Didi.

Um, so don’t have a [00:45:00] lot of live DJ classes. In yoga. Yeah, so that’s new. Um, and it’s gonna be July 24th, 6:00 PM Eastern

we also have a 30 minute mindful walk with John Hoskin. Yeah, it’s outdoor walk. It helps you focus on intentional movement and connect your thoughts in the great outdoors or on the treadmill. And, uh, we also have a 30 minute soundtrack strength Club with Callie Gullickson. We do. And 120 minute power zone endurance ride with Ben.

While we’re talking about Ben. Yeah. We should also talk about him starting some rumors about doing some tread stuff. He knows what he’s doing. He know he, he’s asking for it. He shouldn’t have been wearing that. He posted on the, uh, the gram that, uh, he was on a Peloton tread and he said The speakers on the one Peloton tread are epic.

And then he talked about his. His class that he took and then he said, I would [00:46:00] love to coach you guys on the tread one day immediately sparking a frenzy of, is he gonna be teaching on the tread? So we shall see. Watch the space. Indeed.

Bex Gentry is going to be in the Uck. She is, yeah. There’s gonna be some special classes too. She’s gonna be live in studio on July seven, 27th, 28, and August 3rd. She will also be in a special two for one outdoor run club with Susie. How fun would that be? And also Cody will be over that way. He will. And as we mentioned last week, uh, you know, he’s, he’s been in, in the Uck quite a bit.

He’s been in, in all over Europe. Yes. Actually this summer. But he is heading back and he’s also going to be some, doing some more installments of tee time with Cody. And there will be more as well. Uh, and those classes will be taking place on July 21st through the 26th. Rad Lopez has a [00:47:00] new Strength plus program for people.

He does. This one seems to be targeted specifically towards beginner. So this would be great for people who haven’t had a chance to really do a lot of different classes in strength. Mm-hmm. Or maybe they had an injury and they’re getting back to it. But either way, not so much advanced movements.

This is gonna be a little bit simpler. Movements not necessarily. Easier but simpler. And, uh, it’s going to be shorter workouts, and they’re also going to have fewer pieces of equipment, which means this could be perfect. Even if you are more of an advanced person. This might be great for you to take on a summer vacation, okay?

If you’re gonna be traveling. It’s called Shred It Simplified. Okay. And, uh, pelotons Next Outdoor Run Club is coming up. It is, Adrian’s gonna be teaching it and it’s gonna be taking place on July 25th. And finally, Ash Pryor debuts Love letter Rose. She does, yeah. This is where she’s gonna be asking [00:48:00] members for their stories, and then she is going to be highlighting them both on Instagram and.

Part of their story in class and I think those are actually ca called Dear Ash love letter. So if you’re looking for it, yeah, you should probably look for Dear Ash. That’s true.

Peloton Apparel is collaborating with s am I saying that right?

You are. Okay. You know what’s fun about this? Uh, a couple of things. One, they, uh, announced this like introducing Peloton and ez, you know, how many s outfits I have that are Peloton? Like I never even knew Therese existed in Tell Peloton. Yeah. And, and I would say in 2017, almost everything I owned. That was from Peloton was theres, and in 2018, for whatever reason, that, um, you know, they stopped doing that collaboration.

Right? I think Peloton was really in a place where they started doing a variety of collaborations and they moved away from Therese. But they have [00:49:00] come back and they have a. Brand new collection full of Theres’s signature color. They do a, she does a lot of color. The woman who owns it and, uh, she has a lot, she has a new fabric that is going to be introduced that was not available the last time they teamed up with Peloton.

I, uh, saw today that Peloton posted that Zara, the creator of Therese, also is a longtime Peloton member, which makes a lot of sense. Yeah. But they never announced that back in the day, and so I. Don’t know really what that means from a standpoint of like, I’ve been a long time member. Why are they announcing it now?

And they didn’t back then. Right. But I’m excited because I have been a long time fan of Therese. I love the different colors and outfits that they have, but I, it did crack me up when they were like introducing. I was like, I think you mean reintroducing right. Settle down. But uh, that’s really cool.
